Hello everyone! Hope you are all doing well out there. This here is an absolutely awesome art I got from 
reycovert!

To be gin, this is King Shoutmon Grei, in my IRL height of 6 foot 2 inches, so the picture would make more sense. He is dressed in a form of Japanese Ground Self Defense Force tanker uniform, manning one of my favorite tanks from a game I play: the Type-61 MBT! From what I can gather, it is an MBT the Japanese created based from the American M47 Patton, after they found out that their own crews were not quite able to properly use the tank due to size issues and too much equipment. So using The ST-A1, 2, and 3 test trial vehicles, the Type-61 was born from all three! Of course for all of you Godzilla-verse fans out there, you may remember seeing tons of toy(?) Type-61 tanks being tossed around and destroyed by the big lizard guardian himself way back then when the Godzilla movies were taking off in Japan!
Now before you go off on a potential tangent, I did not wish for the tank to be fully accurate, just to ensure no form of copywrite is infringed; I do not own the tank or anything of it, please do not be mad.
Said game that the tank is from, is the game of Warthunder; yes I am a Japanese Main, but play roughly two other countries when I wish to "stretch my legs" for a while. The Type-61 is my absolute favorite MBT in the game so far; it is fast, reacts reasonably fast, isn't TOO tall, but not too SHORT, had HEAT-FS, APHE, an M2HB, and a 30 caliber machinegun for troublesome light vehicles and aircraft -yes I can shoot planes down pretty decently actually. Playing Japan is HARD and unforgiving, but if you're like myself and the very small group of people who mains this country, you will get used to it and do pretty well, all things considered.
P.S. I am not promoting anything, just explaining, please do not be mad at me.

See, I enjoy Japanese planes. As a historian though it’s pretty jarring for me to play Japanese tanks, since much like the French tree it’s about 50% Sherman’s or other American tanks.
That said, yes, it’s a game, they need to balance it so I understand that. Either way glad you’re having fun. ^^

The USA is painful, because majority of its player base is godawful. You could be a REALLY excellent player yourself, but you are dragged down into defeat after defeat, because your "team mates" who play the same tree as you, have intelligence the size of a cashew.
Which means you make less research and less silver lions, because you can't actually do much, regardless of being high up on your team.
I myself, gave up on the USA a long time ago, because I cannot stand the team/player base of that tree. Its disgusting, heavily rude and vulgar. Not to mention, most of their vehicles are boring for me.

For me it's more of feeling like I have cardboard armor, the guns barely do anything against anything outside the USA, and the one tank I have that has decent armor such as the jumbo, the gun has a hard time penetrating armor.
I'm probably bad myself since I don't know how to use heat most of the time so I play as support to pick off tanks from a distance and with good timing, when there's window of opportunity I take it when I can, but I do my best to support my team.

I know the pains of some nations. I’m a British main myself. Absolutely love the Fox and the Conqueror, and the nation got my shot placement to be on point if nothing else… Japan ground is a country I may play after I finish the air tree for it, though I may just get myself a mid-tier premium to avoid the abysmal state that is low tier Japan ground.
Just unfortunate that I don’t really have friends to play ground with, and that my motivation for playing alone is somehow below zero hahaha!

A lot of people love to rag on how “bad” British tanks are for not having a reverse gear or because they only use solid shot. But from my experience with other tanks Soviet tanks are kinda bad for reverse gear too? And the lack of aphe honestly sounds like a bit of a skill issue if you can’t manage to kill anything without explosive filler.
UK has some issues, most definitely, but it’s really not as bad as people make it out to be.
Solid shot doesn’t do too much post pen damage, but it has fantastic penetration, and the spall of shot mk.8 is actually really nice. The reverse gear on British tanks isn’t the best either, but so is the Sherman’s and the t34s reverse gear?
Either way, for me now that I’ve reached the challenger 2 in Britain, I’ve been playing Italy. I don’t quite know why I am, the top tier sucks because the ariete doesn’t have any armour, but in lower tiers they way too much explosive filler in their aphe and it’s honestly really fun to run around with a 90mm at low brs.

All of my ground progress has come to a halt as I’ve gotten addicted to playing air sim once again hahaha
Once you learn shot placement and positioning in this game it starts becoming easier to find higher kill games, after all my first nuke was with the premium rooikat (though game crashed on me right as I was about to drop, thanks gaijin)

I’ve been trying to fet the Fox to work, but i’ll understand over time. I don’t don have the APDS yet x_X
The Caenarvon is AMAZING. I fended off a Jagtiger who thought he was hard enough (tried to ambush me, but then i saw him) caused me to catch fire which i put out instantly, then just double low shotted him to death.
Then a stupid ostwind thought he could threatrn me, but MK.1 shot said NOPE. Killed him on the spot. Minute later, a Panther was trying assault us, and i saved my teammate by triple shooting the thing to death.
Ground realistic :3
Love British tanks! Also having a “boiling unit” is genius. Happy crew is an efficient crew!
Its also why my Dinosaurs have boiling units in their tanks. Its just so cool and smart ^_^

The stock grind for the fox isn’t too bad because the aphe still has like 60mm of pen, you just have to flank around and wait for something light to come over near you
I haven’t used the caenavron yet! The br that it’s at is usually where I just go to have fun, bringing out the fv4005 and the m109 simply so I can delete people, it’s rather fun!
And yeah, British solid shot loves to pen anything, and I love how it takes so many players by surprise. Who knew 250mm+ of pen at the brs that British solid shot exists at would just carve through anything like butter?
I think my favourite activity is to use he on ostwins, makes for a rather satisfying explosion…

I killed a Maus with my AVRE last night too xD
HESH to his lower side area, ammo explosion. Then cane back in a Leopard 1, and i heshed again -it impacted right in fromt of their tank, blowing underneath him, eliminating him in one hit.
He was irritated that he was getting annihilated by an AVRE. And i just told him,
“Regardless of how hard everyone tries to nerf HESH, it still works~”

What planes do you have might I ask?
My main area of things is aircraft, so I’ve gone through quite a few tech trees there for certain aircraft I like…
British everything is really fun. In particular I love British aviation from post ww2-early 2000s with a lot of their jets being some of my favourite planes (I love the English electric lightning for example, but also really like the history of the buccaneer)

I have some Spitfires, Wyvern, the Hornet mk3 (hornet was on sale, and for 6.0, its isn’t bad!), i’m working through the Stirlinfs to get the Lancaster, so i can get back to the boom-and-zoom and dedicated fighters.
I’m sort of in rank 3 for air, i think.
The British Jets do look great though. The “Sea Vixen” and the Vampire look interesting. Sea Vixen ONLY has missiles, so you have to be more…reserved and careful, because you haven’t any defense guns.

While yes, you can play it reserved… you can also use the fact that it’s basically I giant delta wing with 2 incredibly powerful engines to your advantage and do what I like to do… dogfight.
Sure you have to be decent with aiming those missiles, but I have beaten a MiG-19 before with it…
The non premium hornet is actually better than the premium one because it gets a modification that helps it a lot. It’s a plane that is kinda hard to screw up with, you can’t really over speed it and it can dogfight provided you know what you are doing.

I quite liked the vickers mk.1, it's a very solid tank! though it's nothing in comparison to the vickers mk.3.
Swingfire I could never use effectively, cent mk10 is strong if used right and yeah

By far my favourite vehicle in the British tree so far has been the MTTD. It’s a rooikat 105 but with a crew less turret with a 6.7 second auto loader, at a lower br than the rooikat 105.
