Munkhtsetseg is a megabat with brown hair and blue eyes, originally from Mongolia. In 1982, when she was fifteen, she managed to get the attention of the Soviet Government and Mongol Government. After being brought to Ulaanbaatar and managing to impress the committees, the Soviets offered her a chance to move to Sverdlovsk, RSFSR and pursue a physics degree, further attracting widespread attention to herself when she graduated at eighteen with a doctorate and, in 1987, was handpicked to work with a team of American scientists on a new communication system between DC and Moscow. The Munktsetseg satellites orbiting the Earth are named after her for her achievements. In spite of her experiences and accomplishments, she doesn't do anything for the glamor. Her personality is somewhat brash and abrasive as she calculates everything to a degree (occasionally getting craft supplies to help her visualize). She is the biological mother of Aleksey "Aleks" Ivanovich Buryakov and wife to Ivan Antonovich Buryakov. She is fluent in Mongol and Russian and can speak English with some difficulty. She can occasionally be seen with a glass of airag (or vodka, on rare occasion), sipping on it while she works. She's aware of her limits, though for the two months Aleks lived in the USSR with them, she had to substitute his milk with airag due to the Soviet economy turning belly-up in the 90s. She and Ivan made the decision to give Aleks to a couple in America so he could have a better quality of life than what they believed they could provide. Aleks inherits his vision issues from her, as well as his wings.
