Winter had come again. The ground covered and the trees decorated in fresh white snow of the new year. The air was chilly yet calm with little more than a gentle breeze blowing through. Anima emerged out from her cave, stretching her wings to let the wind gently brush through her feathers, her fur helping her to keep warm. She strolled on through the forest, her soft paws pressing lightly into the snow, some if it sticking to her paws as she walked on. She smiled as she gazed at the wintry landscape around her, feeling some sense of serenity with the snow returning. It was the coldest, darkest time of the year, and yet she felt almost perfectly at home during it.
Soon, though, a small bird landed on a branch just above her, chirping a small song to her. Anima beamed up at it, almost tempted to chirp back. But she remained sitting where she was, content to watch the bird wander about while letting the breeze blow through her mane, letting herself enjoy the scene as long as she could.
This was a very nice piece I got from
airaklebold not too long ago, featuring my Anima once again! Might even make it a thing that I try getting an image of her every winter if I can. I really love how this one turned out! Really captures her well and how she's like when in her own environment.
Also, apologies if the story is a bit lackluster. I've been rather dry on story writing lately, so it's not nearly as good as any of the ones I did earlier.
