Greetings everyone, today I have a second concept art made by one of the newer artists: Trent Rommel
Here's a link to his main artwork page: https://www.artstation.com/trommel
*** The artist requested I link to his ArtStation page since they are the most active on that site.
This scene depicts the aftermath of one of the mystery killings on Korsun, a single body left behind with no witnesses and no surveillance footage either.
Griggs suspected that the victim, the foreman at the cooperative docks, was performing illegal activity but did not have the evidence necessary to launch a full investigation. Griggs suspicions are quickly confirmed however, when during a routine search of the crime scene, his garrison troopers uncover a stash of undocumented weapons that were not part of the docks cargo inventory.
The question becomes, who assassinated the dock foreman, and why. With very little information to go on, Griggs decides to investigate the mystery weapons, in hopes that unravelling the smuggling operation will lead him to clues about the killer.
Trent did a really great job with the characters and the scene overall, I'll probably eventually commission him to do some "non Griggs" artwork in the future; however he did exceptional with all the background details on the building and all the surrounding cargo. You'll be seeing more of his work, both directly, and indirectly through edits to the concept art of my other artists.
Seyumei and Dolphy are still primary artists on the project though, so you'll definitely see their stuff being posted alongside the newer artists.
Draggincat and
Dolphiana have also been very helpful in edits and review of the newer artists concept art, helping to keep all the art as consistent (style wise) as possible.
This is the second posting I had for October. There is another that should be done in the near future (next week perhaps) and two more that are in progress, but I'm not sure if they'll be finished by the end of the month. Regardless, I like to post these about once per week, as that seems to be the best timing to get the most activity and feedback.
As always, let me know what you guys think of the image, what can be used to improve future concept arts, and if there are any areas for possible improvement.
Thanks everyone. Hope you like the concept art!

Oh nice.
Danganronpa is basically a visual novel that's also a murder mystery involving a group of high school kids. They're trapped in a remote location, and in order to leave, someone has to die. When someone turns up dead, an investigation is started and everyone has to work together to find out who killed them, otherwise the killer gets away free while everyone else dies.

Ah ok.
I kinda have a bit of trouble getting into visual novels (despite this project probably eventually becoming a limited one next year).
I'll usually read attentively for the first few pages, but if it doesn't have a solid hook I end up skipping through a bunch if it doesn't get my attention.
Thanks for the recommendation though.
