Visual description: Marco the gray mouse gets tackle-hugged by his little sister Angela the brown mouse as he gets off the bus from kindergarten. He is wearing a paw patrol t-shirt, an orange scarf, and brown shorts. Angela is wearing a red sweater and skirt with a diaper underneath, as well as a pink ribbon in her hair. It is fall, so there are lots of leaves falling from the trees, too.
Marco was on the school bus home from his very first day of kindergarten. It had been a little scary, but so much fun, too! Mrs. Maple turned out to be very nice, and getting to see all the fun things they would get to learn about was the greatest! He had loved circle time, drawing, and learning his first ABC’s. And now he was riding on the big kid school bus all by himself! (He had been very careful to remember that he rode the Orange bus.) He couldn’t wait to tell Mommy, Daddy, and Angela all about his day.
As he got off the bus, he looked and looked, but he didn’t see Mommy or Daddy anywhere! Oh no! They didn’t forget, did they? He felt his tummy wobble a little bit, but then-
“BIG BRUFFA!!! YOOR HOOOOMEE!!!” screamed a voice. His little sister Angela was running up the road as fast as she could. She jumped into Marco’s arms to give him a big hug! Poor Marco almost fell over!
“Oof!”
“Hahahahahaha! I missed you!” Angela laughed. She was so happy to see her big brother!
Marco laughed, and hugged his little sister right back. “I missed you too, Angela!”
“What’s it like to go to big kid school? Is it fun?! Is it like Missus Valerie’s?! Do you get to color an’ sing lots an’ lots too?!” Angela was full of questions.
Marco took his little sister’s paw and walked towards their waiting Mommy. He loved being a big brother! He couldn’t wait to tell Angela all the fun things he had learned!
