Oh, just to be clear, the dog is all okay, if that was your worry, here he is enjoying some good old daytime nap
The artwork was more an exploration of the subject when you have to carry on and live not exactly from the love towards someone, rather from rensponsibillity, that you have to carry for them. And how sometimes there are just no strenght left to do that, yet you just can't leave everything like that.
Thank you so much

Oh gosh, I'm glad to hear he's ok! Basenjis do love their sun time, don't they? One of mine has a spot right on my desk while I work. She's not spoiled at all >.>;;;
As for the subject of the piece, I definitely know what you mean. Sometimes it's all you can do just to keep things together enough for one step at a time.

Haha, for sure, most of the summer he is taking sunbathes, which I wouldn't say is entirely healthy for a senior dog. But he is too stubborn to be convinced otherwise!
Yeah, it's actually fascinating, how pets sometimes keep us going despite everything, either from sheer love towards them, or just simple responsibility of taking care of someone, who can't do that themselves. Can't imagine him living with someone else, considering, that he already have been adopted twice (we are his second owners), and changing owners would be so much stress for him in his age. It's not like we love each other, yet there is still a connection between us as between someone, who just spend alot of time together. Roommates of sort, I would say, haha
