[Com] A Filling Manor
A new story, yay! This time for
SkruffyHusky
The soft sound of waves crashed against the shore of Treasure Town’s beach, the warm orange sunset’s light illuminated the sands, and the air was warm with the mid spring weather. A few Krabby scuttle across and spot a Pokémon passed out in the sands. A few minutes later, multiple sets of soft footsteps were heard alongside a soft monotone voice, “Let’s get this one back to the guild, Chatot, help out the team.”
A loud squawk came from the bird Pokémon, “You can’t be serious Guildmaster Wigglytuff!? This Pokémon looks like they ate an entire month's worth of stock.”
Wigglytuff turned back and looked at him, “Well they could use the extra muscle.”
Chatot let out a soft sigh before helping move the unconscious Pokémon. While the move took over an hour, the sun had long since set as nocturnal Pokémon began to sit atop the trees and posts. The team and Chatot were entirely wiped out of energy from moving the overweight and unconscious Pokémon down into one of the Guild’s spare rooms. Upon the success of moving the Pokémon, they all turned in for the night too.
Morning quickly came for the guild as they did their morning talk before dispersing. Though in the spare room, one Pokémon was just waking up, “Ugh… What happened last night… all I remember was one hell of a par...ty? This doesn’t feel like my bed and why does it smell like the ocean?” Repede slowly brought his claw to the side of his head before recoiling.
“What the hell?! What happened to me?!” He quickly stood up and took a look at himself. Looking back at his tree-like tail, and resting his claws on his rotund midsection. “Since when was I a Sceptile?!”
In the doorway stood a charmander, leading against the entryway and looking at Repede, “Ya done screaming? Some of us are still trying to sleep.”
Repede looked at the small charmander, seeing the scar that ran down the Pokémon’s right eye. “Oh, was I being too loud?”
“Too loud? I could hear you on the first floor of the guild. Either way, Wigglytuff wants to talk to ya. Just head out of here, hang right outside this hallway. You’ll see Chatot, seems he’s still not happy about having to help lift ya fat butt.” The charmander turned around and flashed a peace sign with his fingers and went down the hall.
Repede tilted his head a bit before shaking his head, “What an odd charmander, may as well go see this Wigglytuff. Whoever they are.” Slowly making his way down the hall he could hear the squawking of a Pokémon coming not too far ahead of him.
Upon exiting the hallway, Repede could see a little bird Pokémon yelling at the same charmander from before. “I swear Seven, you are the laziest Pokémon in this whole Guild! You don’t explore any dungeons, you don’t run a shop, you don’t even help around here… oh boy, seems the big Sceptile is awake.”
Repede rested his claws on his side, “You don’t need to sound so disappointed, either way I’m looking for someone named Wigglytuff. Know where I can find them?”
Chatot cleared his throat, “Ah you mean Guildmaster Wigglytuff? Yes right through these doors behind me.” The bird Pokémon pointed at the door behind him, gesturing for Repede to head in, to which he did.
Upon entering the room, a pink Pokémon stood behind a desk and spoke in a monotone voice. “Ah, you’re the Pokémon we brought here from the beach. Good to see you are awake. I hope Chatot wasn’t too much of a bother.”
Repede chuckled softly, “Nah, he’s just a bit loud. I could still hear him shouting at that charmander.”
Wigglytuff nodded slightly, “Ah don’t pay much mind to him. Either way I wanted to ask a favor of you. We’ve been needing new hands for exploration teams, and seeing as you are a Sceptile, you seem rather capable for exploration.”
“Uh, I dunno, I’ve never done exploration work too much before. I dunno if I’d be that g-...” Repede was immediately cut off by Wigglytuff.
“Great, here’s your bag and badge Sceptile” Wigglytuff immediately tossed a bag to Repede, a small badge attached to the sling on it.
“Oh, just call me Repede, and I’m guessing I don’t have much of ch-“ Once again he’s cut off by Wigglytuff setting a map on the desk.
Upon unrolling the map, it revealed the way to a run down mansion, “You’ll be heading here, the old Treasure Town Manor. It’s a recent new Mystery Dungeon that hasn’t been explored yet. I want you to go explore it.”
Repede took hold of the map and looked it over, “Well, I guess I can since I do owe you and the guild for taking me in.” He waved and went out the doors of Wigglytuff’s office, Chatot still berating the charmander. He made his way up the ladder to the second floor, then taking the second ladder up to the entrance of the guild.
He unrolled the map he was given and began to follow the trail to the manor. Winding through some trees, up old footpaths that haven’t been walked on for years, eventually leading up to rusted gates. The metal so rusted it was almost falling apart and off the hinges. Beyond the gates was an immense manor, rising 5 floors high and was even wider than it was tall.
Repede gulped slightly before pushing the gates open, though both sides immediately fell to the ground with a loud crash. Winding up the path to the front door, the size of the manor only grew more immense as he grew closer to it. He pushed open the front doors and took his first steps inside.
Upon entering the inside, one detail stood out, the place looked like it was just recently built. Furniture that was untouched and fresh, lights keeping the room bright, floors so clean they could be eaten off of. Behind Repede though, the doors slammed shut and disappeared. “Oh no… that definitely doesn’t bode well…” he looked back at the blank wall, shuddering.
Walking through the foyer, he noticed the much smaller door frames. Most likely meant for smaller Pokémon, and not as chubby Pokémon as Repede’s extra flab got stuck in one of the frames. He pushed against the frame to pull himself through, but as he pushed, the door frame instead tore off from the wall. Breaking apart as it hits the ground alongside Repede.
He looked back at the wall where he broke the door frame off from, “Geez, for this place looking so new it’s as flimsy as driftwood.” He took a few steps back before stepping on what felt like a steel plate, which slid down into the floor a bit. This immediately made Repede tense up as he looked down, “Uh oh, Wigglytuff never told me about traps…”
Only a few seconds later small holes opened in the walls of the room as a small pink gas filled the room. He began to go into a coughing fit before he began to feel rather bloated, like after some gas began to build up inside someone’s stomach after a bad meal. Though as the seconds ticked by, he slowly began to feel more bloated.
Looking down, he watched as his flabby gut slowly rounded out into a more spherical shape, along some soft stretching and hissing sounds. Almost as if he was like a balloon, though even after the gas disappeared from the room the hissing only grew more loud. His gut continued to swell outwards, and eventually other parts of him swelled up too. His thighs and arms joined in on the growing party, and even his cheeks grew more puffy.
Though he soon began to take on a more spherical shape, his bloated arms and legs slowly sinking into his sphere like body, leaving only his head and tail to stick out from his growing body. Even with his predicament though, he couldn’t help but enjoy ballooning up, especially with how he could feel his spherical form starting to press up against the walls. The flimsy wood of the old manor starting to crack and splinter from the growing Sceptile within.
Outside the manor, the same charmander from before begrudgingly dragged a bag behind him and a badge in his other hand, “Stupid Chatot, forcing me to go visit this stupid manor… having to follow this fat fricken Sceptile…” As Seven approached the manor he could hear a loud creaking ringing through the air. The sounds of wood boards breaking, and the manor walls bulging?
Seven tilted his head in confusion as he watched the manor walls continue to bow outwards before in a blast of wood, glass and some furniture the entire manor exploded away. Anything left from manor was scattered across the lawn and in the forest trees around the manor. Looking back at the manor’s prior location stood a more than 5 story high orb of a Sceptile. Repede softly swaying side to side in enjoyment as the last bits of wood land on the ground.
