*Squeaks and smiles* This turned out awesome.
I love how playful Ranier looks, as if he's merely teasing Rodent; though of course all that drool is a sure giveaway that the rat will be taking that plunge very shortly.
You did a fantastic job with the expressions, capturing so much charm and cuteness to both of them, and the shading beautifully enhances the scene and brings it all to life. Adding the shadow behind them gives it a wonderful sense of depth, as well as deepening that feeling of ominous doom for the rat. ^_^
I love the saliva, especially the drool running out of Ranier's jaws, assuring Rodent that he's going to be a much enjoyed, tasty snack.
