Mags the Washed-Up Children's Television Hostess Robot
TV heads are cool, yo!
I had this silly idea for a character that was a mix of a tv head robot design and a former children's tv show host. The female part came afterwards after realizing that the clown/jester look would look... well... hotter in a more shapely body, though there is this cute factor to it as well. The timeframe where she would have performed in her show would probably be late 80s and early 90s where she took the role of a motherly robot that educated kids on a variety of topics. With these ideas in place, Mags was born... and then retired in universe where she shows up as a cameo in talk shows and other shows directed towards the older audiences. Just imagine the kids growing up and still watching her in the more mature television content. It's as if they were growing up with her after her departure from the original show. Also, Mags' name reflects her frequent use of magnets, which affected her a lot during her original show's run. You gotta admit, magnets are very much fun to play around with. She would use them for educational material while using her own head to display information about the current topic at the time. Though with all that exposure to her head, she "fizzes" out on random occasions. It can be best described as a tic that doesn't hurt her much, but can be pretty startling. It is eventually trivial to get used to her random tv screen fizzing.
