"Every prayer, every word of malice and hatred, returned tenfold!" -Pyra, giving herself a pep talk.

Well, to call Pyra an official Plague Monk isn't entirely true. Being birthed in the pestilential clan, many clanrats often undergo a painful 'baptism' in their initiation to the Plague Monk ranks and hordes. However, much to her own dismay growing up, she was never, ever picked to participate in such a holy ceremony for reasons unknown. Every day she prayed. Every day she studied and worked as hard as her body could to earn favor in the eyes of Lash Plaguedrinker, an exalted Censer-Bearer...but never does he allow Pyra to undergo the ceremony. Perhaps he doesn't think a female rat could make a good Plague Monk, or perhaps he has some other motive. Whatever the case, Lash often sends Pyra on all sorts of strange errands and tasks to keep her well away from the burrows under Lustria. From collecting the horns of Beastmen, to collecting the tails of Skinks, Pyra does what she's told and retrieves everything Lash asks for...perhaps much to his own dismay. Despite the enduring tasks set before her, Pyra never questions Lash, seeing him as an idol and as a role model- something she herself aspires to be. But alas, no baptizing ceremony for her. The lack of such actually makes her a very clean rat!...or, the cleanest in Clan Pestilens that is. Even without the ugly sores of a Plague Monk upon her body, she still dresses as one to show her devotion and faith to the Pestilential Brotherhood.

Another older OC I had modeled from a while back but never had a proper story to post for her. Huh, I'm beginning to realize that's a pattern for a LOT of my characters lately.
