My own interpretation of a panel from the 15 April 1942 Thimble Theatre/Popeye comic by Tom Sims and Bela Zaboly, part of the story ``The Seagoosk''. It's about a rubber goose and that stuff is a lot of fun. Wimpy gets it into his head to try eating the rubber goose and fails many times over to catch her. This differs from the original panel in the angle, a bit, and I had the goose's legs stretched out and wobbly because that's so much fun to draw.
You can see the original at https://lostdailies.gumroad.com/ Volume 12, but a major content warning: halfway through the story turns into Popeye versus the Japanese Navy, which is trying to get the rubber goose. The rubber goose then disappears from the comic strip and instead you get, uh, yeah. I understand why Sims and Zaboly would choose to write that in early 1942 but it is not fun reading in 2021.
