We are July 14 and it's the French National Day (Bastille Day)! On this occasion I decided to do something different.
To summarize what happened that day: we are July 14, 1789, the people are dying of hunger under the reign of Louis XVI; it is unable to feed its people. The people decide to make themselves heard by the King and get their arms ... but the powder and the ammunition can only be found in one place: the Bastille prison. The people then went there and the Garde des Invalides fired at the crowd from the towers of the prison, finally after an afternoon of exchanges of gunfire and cannons ... the Bastille fell into the hands of the Revolutionaries. This event marked the start of the French Revolution and the Fall of the Monarchy.

In a way. In fact it should be known that at this time there: the French did not think to suppress the monarchy; it was much later, when the King tried to flee France with his family to seek help from the other great European powers. The King was recognized and arrested in Varennes, the people will see this act as a real betrayal and will decide to abolish the Monarchy in favor of Democracy.
