Cures and Concoctions
Spending much of the 2nd age in isolation, Skarakesh would initially occupy himself with attempts to find the "cure" for the dragonkin curse, the very nature of which would yield no alchemical results, not that the kin knew that.
Instead, his wyvern creations began to grow on him, becoming more than just a disposable experiment designed to rival Kerapac's dragon's out of spite. He watched them play, he watched them fight and so on till in time he began to bond with them, accepting him as his children and choosing to care for them, so much so that when the Necrosyrtes scorched Kethsi in a fit of rage, he began seeking a new home for his children, aware that if left on what is now the Kethsian wasteland, they would surely perish. It was thanks to his compassion that you may find them beneath Asgarnia, their origins completely unknown to the world.
But still the pain of their curse, inflicted by those "false users" drove the dragonkin ever onward to find a search for a cure, but even so he would always make time for play, or appreciate a helping hand no matter how small! The amazing team of
captures just that!

Thanks, likewise I really enjoyed their story arc and have continued to follow its development even though I stopped playing when the EOC dropped. Several of his previous art pieces have also tried to stay relevant to their design (the previous models still in used at the time I commissioned said pieces).
Ahaha, I was level 136 back in the day. I'm thinking, RS? What? Dragonkin? What's EOC? Man, that game is SO different. I got 99 mining as my first max stat back in classic.
I think it was around 2007 when I quit. I argued with literally thousands of people on the forums that the wilderness+trading+death+pvp+whatever overhaul would kill the game. Annnd... Post-update the game shed 4.5 million users. Yeah, Runescape was, at one time, more popular than World of Warcraft. That update is the reason why Runescape Classic exists.
But I quit involuntarily. See, I was a pmod. While I was repeatedly warning them about that update, I publicly contradicted an admin, informing him that he was extremely wrong about some game mechanic. (Baffling, don't they make the game?) Fun fact: The report button didn't do anything if you selected macroing; the pmods were told this so they didn't waste time on reports that did nothing. Within hours of making that forum post I somehow got banned for macroing in the middle of having a discussion with a friend in a random house in Falador. 9 strikes and my mod status was stripped. I think it was a 3 month ban.
A few weeks after the update dropped, things began to look bad for Jagex, and that's when my account simply vanished. Weirdly, the account returned in 2011 when I thought of playing (probably a restored backup) but it vanished again a few weeks later. Apparently, I pissed off someone at Jagex so much they deleted my account twice. Lmao!
Anyway, even without the Runescape connection, this is some great art/story/atmosphere. It can stand on its own and I think that is a mark of excellence.

It was a nice aesthetic! Combining superior nodon craftmenship with Dactyl smarts would be quite a lethal combination! Nodon might not have the prolonged power of the curse, so one can only imagine how dangerous the dactyl and necrosyrtes factions could be if they put their midns to it.
