Even the powerful bois have power fantasies sometimes >w>
So, this was a render I did for fun, and to serve a few purposes... I've been *immersing* myself more and more on macro art lately, and one thing I've noticed pretty much all of the big macro artists do every now and then is... curved POVs, usually having the floor curve around the foot of a giant to imply a very high field of view on the "camera"... then I thought "oh wait, can I do the same thing?". I wanted to test the power of using panoramic cameras, this type of camera is usually used for those "tiny planet" things people like to do, but using that type of camera and zooming in, gives you... this. Learning about this opened a HUGE door of options to me tbh, of course the effect is very obvious and pronounced on this render, but ever since this, I've used this camera more and more, and it's super useful, it gives some extra depth to pictures, which is often very desirable considering... you know, cameras tend to be close to feet around these parts >w>
This render was also a test for the new foot model I'm starting to use! Yes, I'm updating all foot models I use and not making a big deal about it XD The improvements are not immediately obvious, they are most noticeable on the tops (the tops are amazing now), certain angles look a lot more appealing now, and the toes are better, more uniformly shaped. I'm still keeping them with the cartoony round shape like usual tho.
This render was also also a test for this large-scale city I made, I always wanted a big city model to do some larger macro stuff, but it's... a challenge, to say the least :p I still don't think this is a perfect large scale city scenario, but it's a start for sure~
Also happy Macro/Micro May, or whatever it's called X3

"Actually, due to international copyright laws, it's not Knuxzilla."
"STILL, TAILS, WE SHOULD RUN LIKE IT IS KNUXZILLA!"
"Though it isn't, Sonic."
(Tails winks at the camera and Sonic cracks a little grin before both revert back to the standard emotion of everyone else:)
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!"
(The duo then blast off down the street in sheer terror... missing Knuckles' city-block sized foot by only inches.)

Ooohh, I like where this is going~
Nice job on that render though, looks really good and that curved lens works really great with a macro shot like that. I'm looking forward to seeing those changes to the feet up close~
Also this seems like an appropriate size for Knuckles ;3
