It's a mix of several scifi designs.

I originally was going for a spiderbot thrower, but that wouldn't be clear from this angle :c

ooh i forgot that was a thing in that game ! (they were not very effective against bots)
but yes i can understand having the right angle for drawing that one sounds quite nontrivial :3

Wow, I don't know who made what on this piece, but it is beautiful! The colours compliment eachother so perfectly and the lineweight is just... I love it!
