Yup. I felt the original machine gun looked kinda weak to really hurt RoboCop's armor, so we figured it would make more sense to use a rail gun instead.

The novel mentions it's actually an anti-air gun, but it would feel awkward having such a huge gun like that unnoticed.

yeah the first 2 movies were pretty brutal, I know what's coming up soon and even though it's all metal it's harrowing to see a protagonist go through that :P
