(Note: Hey guys. I wrote another Club Penguin story. I have been working on this one a while so I hope you like it!)
————————————————————
It was almost lunch time on Club Penguin. Rory was almost finished repairing the coffee machine
in the Coffee shop. This was his last job for the day for now.
Rory sighed as he sat on the soft red couch in the Coffee shop. He has had a very busy morning
so he was ready for a well deserved break. Unfortunately for him this break didn’t last long. He was about to open his lunchbox when his phone rang.
“Hello, Rory here!” He answered.
“The clock tower has broken again.” The Penguin on the phone explained.
The old clock tower was well known for breaking a lot. This was ever since Herbert and Klutzy messed with it a few years back. Rory packed his tools into his tool box and made his way to the Snow Forts. The Snow Forts were pretty quite today which made it easier for Rory to work without being hit by a random snow ball.
As Rory balanced his ladder against the clock tower, he felt a small gurgle in his tummy. He was beginning to feel a bit hungry after having to skip lunch. He ignored at as he slowly climbed up the ladder. He unscrewed a large panel at the back of the clock tower. He noticed that one of the springs had fallen out of place. He picked up the the spring that had fallen into the machine and carefully reattached the spring to the two little hooks that held it in place. He quickly climbed down from his ladder. He folded it and placed it into its case.
“GURGLE!!”
Rory’s stomach was getting louder but before he could do anything about it, he got another phone call.
“Hey Rory! There is a problem at the lighthouse! Said the penguin on the phone.
Rory sighed as me started to make his way to the lighthouse. His stomach rumbled as he walked. When he got to the Beach, he noticed a purple penguin stood outside the front of the lighthouse.
He waddled over to him.
“Hello, I received a call that there was a problem here I needed to fix?” He asked.
“Ah yes, that was me.” The purple penguin replied “ the one of the lenses of the telescope at the top of the lighthouse has cracked” he added.
“I see, well I should easily be able to fix...”
“GROOOWL!!”
Rory blushed as his hungry stomach rudely interrupted him mid sentence. He place a flipped against his tummy. He felt it continuing to gurgle quietly under his flipper.
“ Are you alright?” The purple Penguin asked as he raised a brow.
“I’m fine.” Rory replied. “ let me take a look at the telescope now” he added as walked past the purple penguin and entered the lighthouse. He was still blushing slightly. He made his was to the top of the lighthouse.
At the top of the lighthouse, Rory tried to look through the first lens of the large telescope. It was indeed cracked! It was impossible to see through it! He unscrewed and opened up the telescope. He took out the old lens and placed to one side. He took out a shiny new lens from his jacket pocket. He gave a quick wipe and then fitted it into place before closing the telescope again.
Rory slowly sat down with his back against the glass off the lighthouse beacon. He was tired so he rested his eyes for a moment whilst he finally had the chance.
“GRUMBLE”
“GROWL”
“Rumble”
“GRRRRrrr”
Rory was starving now. His tummy was making so many rumbly noises. It surprised him quite a bit! He looked down at his empty belly, clutching it as it grumbled and groaned more.
He jumped as he heard his phone vibrated. He carefully read the texted he had been sent. It was a text telling him that the microphone on the stage at the Pizza Parlour wasn’t working.
He groaned in annoyance as he got up. All he wanted was to eat his lunch that he had missed. Was this too much to ask? He thought to himself.
It was later in the afternoon at the Pizza Parlour. The Penguin Band were planning to perform that night. The microphone wasn’t working which was causing the leader and singer of the group, Franky to panic!
“This isn’t good! We won’t be able to perform without a microphone!” Franky said worryingly, as he watched G-Billy who was doing his best to try and fix it.
“Don’t worry Franky! I texted Rory, I’m certain he will be able to fix it.” Stompin Bob reassured him, placing a flipper on his shoulder.
At that moment, Rory arrived at the Pizza Parlour. Franky directed Rory to the broken microphone.
Rory took out his tools and took a closer look. He inspected some of the wires and saw that some of them weren’t connected properly. Rory mended this right away! Rearranging, tying and reconnecting the multicoloured wires in the microphone stand.
“RUUUUUMMMMMMMBBBBLLLLEEEEE”
Rory’s eyes widened. He hasn’t noticed that he had the microphone pressed up against his tummy as he was working on it. Many penguins in the Pizza Parlour turned around to see what was going on.
“Sounds like it’s working? Haha!” Stompin Bob smirked placing his flippers on his hips.
“Yep...” Rory responded as he smiled embarrassedly, scratching the back of his neck.
“Hey, why don’t we all share a pizza before tonight’s show?” Franky suggested.
Franky heard Rory’s tummy growl again.
“Would you like to join us Rory?” Franky asked him politely.
Rory’s face lit up as he nodded in agreement. He was so happy he was finally getting what he has been wanting all day. Food!
The hungry construction penguin joined the penguin for pizza and was finally able to shut his growling tummy up.
