I have long wanted to draw a Spike, but I could not come up with an idea for art. But when I reviewed the very first series, the idea came by itself. I wanted to capture the moment when he realized that he had crumpled the box and ruined the gift. It is both cute and sad (´｡• ω •｡)

And yes, I messed up the color of the box and the bow. I noticed this only after speedpaint and animation were finished. But I did not want to change the color and redo the animation anew, so let it remain so.
