My'So-fo, a junior female of the Foothills Enclave, which exists in the same universe as HMNIY.
On the Foothills Enclave: Located in the southern foothills of the Deshel mountain range, and to the east of Big River. It shares a common culture with the Goldrun and Silverrun Enclaves, as well as the Blackglass Peak Enclave to a degree. The other three enclaves largely rely on Foothills and {redacted} to provide a bulk of their food supplies, and as a result, Foothills Enclave is somewhat rich, even by human standards. It is also the trade hub for the four enclaves. {redacted} enclave will stop at the Foothills Enclave to trade with all of them, exchanging goods from further inland for gold, raw iron, obsidian, and gems. Humans from the Goldgrass Expanse will sometimes come by to get Silverrun iron for tools.
As intertwined as Foothills, Silverrun, Goldrun, and Blackglass Peak are, they still maintain a few cultural differences from one another. Foothills yings have a reputation for being the best traders and tend to be good at math. Silverrun yings have an almost supernatural ability to find veins of ore along the cliffs they call home. Goldrun yinglets are known for being sly and good craftsmen. Blackglass Peak yings are an odd bunch, and tend to be haughty to outsiders. Blackglass yinglets also nearly universally have different iris and sclera colors.
Foothills yinglets, as well as Silverrun yinglets, tend to follow a naming convention of first part'second part, like My'So pictured here. All four enclaves in this group will add a suffix denoting their enclave of residence when dealing with one another or in the trading post. -fo being Foothills, -go being Goldrun, -si being Silverrun, and -bla being Blackglass Peak. These suffixes are apt to change throughout a yinglet's life, as the close-knit communities often swap members.
On My'So: A female of 3 years who lives in the Foothills Enclave. Despite her serious expression in this portrait, she's overwhelmingly full of energy and giddiness. She doesn't have any negative feelings towards the other yinglets in her enclave, but longs to get out and explore the world. She's always hoping to get passage on one of the trading boats that comes by. Despite her young age and breezy attitude, she has an aptitude for both math and calming others. This makes her an excellent mediator during trades, and as a result, her enclave is reluctant to let her go.
