Nice work. However, judging by the bending of the blade of the left opponent, it looks like his stab hit the target. Swords do not have protective caps. Does this mean that the right opponent was injured? Since he smiles, apparently this did not happen.

The one on the right is also a sabertooth cat which should be instinct as far as we were informed.

^_^ Yeah, cartoony shenanigans is more along the lines of what I was thinking. The pair in this picture, Gazzy and Starburst, are both Belegarth buddies of mine, so, yanno, fighting is a fun thing!

Heh, true, I didn't draw any protective caps or gore, so I guess it's kinda open to interpretation! Honestly, between the commissioner and his dueling partner here, it could kinda go either way!

Modern fencing swords usually have a spring loaded tip to prevent people from actually getting impaled. It seems more like someone is happy to have gotten a hit rather than a kill.
