Merry meatloaf is not only tasty but is great on the budget too. It may be an old time dish but well worth the cooking. Full of flavour and sweet juices from the kitchens of stripekazama
I literarily haven't had meatloaf for years, I suddenly got in the mood for it, and I've honestly NEVER done it before. So I looked up how one did it, and made my own twist on it. :). Turned out great!
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
500 grams minced beef
3/4 decilitre breadcrumbs (1/3 cup)
2.5 decilitre milk (just over 1 cup)
0.5 tsp
salt
blackpepper
chilipowder
1 egg
3 decilitre grated cheese (1 1/3 cup)
How to:
1. Heat the oven to 175 Celsius.
2. Add the breadcrumbs into a bowl of sorts, and then pour in the milk. Let it swell/settle for 10 minutes.
3. Add the meat and the other ingredients to the mixture and knead it around with your hand until it's mixed nicely.
4. Dump the big slab of meat to a greased oven-proof tin and form it into a loaf with your hands.
5. Sprinkle some cheese ontop of it and then put it in the oven for about 45 minutes.
6. When done, turn the heat up a notch or two, for five minutes to give the cheese a nice colour.
7. Serve
**I didn't add any measurements to the spices, because personally I believe one should season it to ones own liking. Like I did!**
