Angela peeked her head around the corner, feeling very small. Mommy was back from the hospital, and she had a new baby sister! Angela was feeling excited, scared, and curious all at the same time. She had never been a big sister before, and she didn't know what it would be like.

"Angela! Wanna come over and hold your baby sister?" she heard Mommy say.
Angela slowly walked over to the couch, where Mommy was sitting with Daddy. She was holding a curious-looking bundle all wrapped in cloth.

"Hold out your paws, sweetie; yes, just like that!" Mommy said.
Mommy put the bundle into Angela's paws. Angela looked down. There was a tiny little gray baby mouse sleeping and squirming in there! Her new baby sister felt so warm! Angela loved her cute little tiny ears the most."Wow....." Angela whispered. "She's so small, Mommy!"

"Uh-huh, that's how God makes babies! You were that small too once upon a time, Angie!"
Angela couldn't believe that! "No way!" she said.
"Yeah way, kiddo!" said Daddy. "Heeheehee! I remember hearing your squeaky little voice for the first time! And touching your tiny little nose!"
That made Angela feel happy! "Hahaha! Did I cry a lot, Daddy?"
"Ohhhh yes Angie, all the time!" he said. "All baby mice do! Whenever you were hungry, when you needed a new diaper, or just needed a hug, you would cry!" Daddy said. "Especially in the middle of the night!"
Angela giggled, a little embarrassed! "I only do that sometimes, now."

"Uh-huh, you're almost a big girl. Now you can just tell us when you need those things," said Mommy.

"But I'm glad I'm not all-the-way-big like Marco," she said. (Marco was her big brother.)

"Yep! You're still our little baby mousie," said Daddy.
Just then, Angela's baby sister opened her eyes.

"Oh wow, Angie! She's looking at you!"
Her eyes were so pretty and small! Angela looked right back, then gave her a little kiss on the forehead.
"Awww!" cooed Mommy. "What a nice big sister! What a lucky Mommy and Daddy we are, to have three beautiful babies!"
"Does she have a name?" Angela asked.
"Uh-huh, her name is Julia!" said Daddy.

"Hello Julia," said Angela softly. She handed Julia back to Mommy, then sat on the couch. Turning to Daddy she asked, "Can I see pictures of when I was a baby?"
"Of course, sweetie!" Daddy said. He went to get the family photo album.

Mommy snuggled Julia and held her close, while Angela and Daddy looked at old pictures.
Daddy wrapped his arm around Angela, and they opened the book together.
