So this painting is kinda special, and I'm exceptionally honoured to have been asked to make this and incredibly proud of my friend.
This is Lightsongfox's coming out piece as a transfem. The finding and discovery of Melody, though dormant and not yet fully awake, reveals a whole new identity, desire and longing to Light. Perhaps not yet fully realized, she's still no longer buried in the dark depths and the unknown.
She's been talking through a lot of concerns and exploration points as we worked on this piece, and the joy and delight of watching someone take that next step on the journey of who they are, is one of my greatest pleasures.
