How much time did you spend on this one?

I really don't know how I can measure time because I don't work on things straight through and I've never set a timer save for my hourly commissions. The sketch took me about an hour and a half, the coloring took me about a day and a half I think if I had to guess?

he looks great :) I like his relaxed bur friendly expression and posture. The bits of flesh tone in his wings really liven them up and I like how you shaded the digits on his finger and toe digits

I just love it! BoingDragon arranged this commission as a gift for me since I had such a horrible time getting a commission for this character (several attempts that failed) and as something to cheer me up since I had been going through a really rough period in my life.

It's hard for me to believe I created this character back in 2001 and he has remained an active RP character since then! Positively the all-time favorite RP character I created. His name is German for roughly: 'Nightmare Traveler' and his adventures have more often than not kept up to his name.

It's such an amazing thing to finally see him rendered so well in art. The color and style is absolutely perfect. Thank you again for all the work on it. It made my day, if not my year, when I saw the final color version.

I'm so pleased you like it! I will be sending it out priority mail on Monday along with the original sketch (it's my shipping day) so it will reach you shortly! I had fun working on this character because it was a challenge drawing a bat for my first time, and also because Boing Dragon was also really fun to work with, he seems like a great guy and even nicer that he'd do something kind to cheer up a friend :)

Huzzah, the bat has landed! Unfortunately it was a frame up and he's now on the wall...
