This one is an important personal piece for me for somewhat silly reasons. Well, not silly perhaps. There was a time where I was in a fearful part of my life and I wasnt sure if I had to confidence or the skill to achieve what needed to be done. And through this, somehow, it was Annie Leonhart from AOT that served as an inspirational character to get me back on my feet. I felt really empowered when I started doing Krav Maga, and so making Riv a fighter at heart seemed only natural. Even when I stopped fighting myself, I continued to view myself as someone who could be agile and strong if need be, similar to Annie. I lost the weight I needed and tried to maintain this young at mind ideology. And hell, even when I'm out of shape, that fighter spirit totally drives me. So Riv being a krav/muay thai fighter was only natural.
