There, that's how she works :3
I started out just doodling up a quick explanation of what exactly she is, but figured it'd be a good enough ref sheet if I just added a little bit of bio and some shading.
So this is Echo. She is a tentacle monster piloting a plush suit. Her exact origins are unknown, as is how she received her medical credentials, but she has become a pillar of her community and a definite boon to her place of work, as there is high demand in pediatrics for a stuffed animal that can read medical charts and apply bandages.

That's...a disturbing coincidence. My Octoling character is named Echo..and she turns into an Octopus..
Aside from that coincidence she's rather adorable. And considering her abilities, she'd be able to possibly have different style plush suits. It's adorable

She squeezes her whole "head" into the suit's head in order to better see, then uses her other tentacles to move the suit. That's kind of strenuous though, so she typically hangs out in the middle and uses a combination of sound and small holes in the suit's seams to check where she's going.
This seems like a good analogy for people who find comfort in wearing fursuits because they’re shy, or under the mistaken impression that they aren’t pretty. You can hide your true nature beneath the suit, if something about that nature is upsetting to you. I won’t pretend that I don’t consider some of the reasons behind getting a Fursuit to be sad, but if it brings some people comfort and confidence, then I think that’s great.
That sounds like a sure way to do so. Imagine seeing a fluffy looking puff-ball mascot, looking like this (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/27171359/) going around for donations and hugs. Kinda like this
