Hey everyone! I might be a bit slow with updates this whole month as i'm preparing for my finals, but anyways! Back to business!
That's an experimental picture and I hope there will be more like it after i'm done with the exams.
To be honest I really want to change my style in terms of how it generally looks like, but not in terms or proportions of the characters or how I draw this or that detail. I want to develop a more mature casual style for personal artwork and commissions. I also want my pictures to look like individual illustrations that can stand on their own, not just pictures of one's characters. It would also be nice to go beyond the furry community and to become an artist in general without that "furry" prefix.
And I also think this picture is a step in the right direction. I think working on my comic and that ibex really helped me to understand what I want.
Anyways, it's not perfect but i'm pretty happy with it! Eventually I'll get there.
And aaaalso I might do a slightly different, more painterely picture soon. I wanna see how i can handle brigher colors in a similar style!
Thanks a lot to anyone who's finished this post, I'd be really happy to hear your opinion on this style change, whether negative or positive!

You've already heard this a ton from me, but I commend you for attempting to mature your style. It definitely shows, and this piece is a great step forward. Texture-wise, this piece rules. With the gentle sheen on the turtleneck to show the garment's thickness / material is genius.
AND THAT HAIR. Come on, girl. You put a ton of effort into this and it shows. Great work.

It's certainly different from most styles around here, as well as what you've done previously.
When I first saw this, my impression was of a linotype, though on closer examination it's way more complex and subtle than that. As an artist you can progress in any direction and it will be fun to see where you go.
