For some reason, other people could never see him, but she knew he was real, so she would escape from home, escape at night, run afar, only to meet him, to tell him her secrets and listen to the stories he would tell her.
He was her only friend, but she had no need of others.
Sometimes she would ask him, where did you come from? And then he would answer, I have always been with you, I will always be with you. I will be your friend, and I will protect you.
The day the girl would reveal her fate
