Every soul has the ability and choice to be either good or evil. Every person has the weakness to fall victim, or the strength to persevere. It's something within us all, no matter who we are, no matter what we do; it's there, and we make decisions that sway us from one side to the other every moment of every day. This is the way it is, there is no escape from reality.
Long story on this one...
I just got to thinking one night, about how and when I chose the wolf as my totem/guiding animal. The beast in which my personality compared with the most. But then I wondered...
What is the wolf? Compassion, trust, companionship, caring, strength, wisdom, the ability to overcome...
But then one must think, what else is the wolf? Hatred, rage, desperation, guile, distrust, jealousy, the need to be better than someone else...
There will always be those that argue wolves are useless and dangerous, while there will be the others that argue they are harmless and only wish to live their lives in peace. I must admit, I'm a believer of the latter, but that doesn't keep me from acknowledging the fact wolves have the potential to be, in a sense, evil creatures.
Think about it for a second. Pack structure: you have your alpha/s, beta/s, middle ranks and of course your omega/s.
The alpha, the fearless leader. He or she who will lead the pack to survival and better days. But too can the alpha be overly aggressive, and push his pack mates to their limits. He can be harsh, unforgiving and very critical of all that goes on. Survival of the strong is number one, survival of the weak is not...
The beta...the loyal second in command, or the conniving assassin awaiting his chance to seize the throne? Betas can be the most trusted friend, or the strong beast who is just counting his days 'til the alpha falls. Not all is as we hoped.
The middle ranks have the potential to be the most dangerous, they could form a mutiny against any of the wolves, or they could merely leave, abandon their pack in the most difficult of times to join a larger more successful pack; leaving the alphas and their pups to die.
Then you have the omega, the wolf who is most likely to lash out or become dangerous... He could be happy with his lot, this is true, or he could seek vengeance upon those who put him there...kill every pup under his watch and depart to become lone.
This is the wolf pack, both sides, what it could and would be in any circumstance. So with the wolf, it is the same with us. We are forever torn between the two sides of our soul, wondering every day what would happen if we made one different choice... Just one. Because that single decision could change our lives. It could be for good, it could be for evil, the point is it's there...waiting for us. In the back of our minds. Like the two faced wolf, one of good, one of evil, both whispering of what we could be, what we could do... Bask in the warmth of justice and what is right, or perhaps justice has never one succeeded for us...perhaps its time to take that matter into our hands.
Which side rules your soul? Which voice is louder?
lol, Turned out okay. No refs used. Supposed to y'know, represent the two sides of every soul blah, blah, blah...lol, I tried to make the left wolf look more holy and solemn and I tried in turn to give the right wolf a flamey look to him and look more hellhoundish. Meh. I guess I like it okay...
Not bad for no refs though. lol
