The red fox turned to the photographer, and flashed a classic boyish smile. The kind you give to a sibling when you know you’re screwing with them. His ears twitched high and the fox shifted on his seat- an official FBA basketball, waiting for the photographer to take the next shot.

"I haven't a clue what you’re talking about Derlek. This is nothing more than a photoshoot for my line of sneakers."

There were a few snickers from some of the nearby stage hands. Nobody bought it. The red painted sleeves were a statement- shots fired in the direction of one Victor Vos.

Vos was infamous for snow-dipping- bleaching his paws as a display of his lavish luxury. Because of the time, cost and recovery period needed for something a superficial as coloring your hands, it was considered an extreme act of arrogance among vulpines. And with Vos earning the 2015 FBA Finals MVP award, the fashion trend only grew.

Now to a proper English-American fox, such antics low class, something beneath his vulpine brethren. And he hoped to change that...

The photographer shook his head and lined up another shot

"Right, so how are you going to explain the red paint to your team General Manager. Your Mom..?"

The fox wiggled his whiskers and blinked a few times. It was clear he hadn't thought that part through just yet…
