I could say "his", but there's no evidence the customer who sneezed is a male either.
I could say "their", but that's a plural pronoun, so that doesn't make sense.
I could say "his/her", but I hate playing the politically-correct gender-neutral game.
So I went with simply "her" based on overall appearance, which seemed a safe bet.

You have a point. And upon going to the commissioner's page, I've seen that that character is, in fact a male.
So I stand corrected. I played the odds and lost. But apparently I'm not the only one to make that assumption.
