here it is!! my MYO aetherling entry. hoo boy this took a long time to finish and my hand is aching but i really wanted to get it done before i started on other stuff otherwise i'd probably forget and done it super last minute. there are lots of things i wanted to include in the design and i think i managed to get it all in?? and im rlly happy i got to work with this essence in particular since it's one of my absolute favorite things. plus i love these colors, and it was cool to work with something really bright for once. i tried me best with the anatomy, but i'm still pretty new to animals since i don't draw them much. good practice tho!

srry i have a lot of trouble writing cohesive paragraphs for reasons. so i'm just going to do some bullet points instead of them silly things i thought of for this guy

- one night while wandering a dark forest nearby some town, Aysu noticed something rather bright and magical. So being the curious fellow he is, the lil aetherling went floated on over to investigate.
- It was so bright and mysterious, he was enthralled by this thing. And he absolutely had to touch it. Turns out it was some kind of magic-based fly zapper, and it gave Aysu quite the shock. He was passed out for like 14 hours (though a few of those hours might've been because he didn't feel like getting up)
- when he finally woke, he was in a bundle of blankets in a basket. turns out the horrible magic device belonged to some witch that lived on the edge of town. they heard the thump of poor Aysu hitting the ground after getting a nasty shock. their device was supposed to deal with bugs, they never imagined it would attract an aetherling.
- the witch took care of the poor baby, and offered him a place to stay until he was feeling better. Aysu enjoyed hanging out with the witch, he liked knocking bottles off the shelves into their witch brews and stews because he felt like it was "helping". As time went on they became good friends and Aysu decided that he wasn't going to leave.
- It was a wonderful home for Aysu, as the forest nearby plenty of lightning bugs, glowing mushrooms, and other such things that would make it a wonderful place to gather essence. And in the winter months when things like that were scarce, the witch always had a stored supply in case they needed them for a potion.
- The witch ran some type of magic/medicine shop where they would sell off the things they made.
- over time, Aysu became somewhat of a mascot for the shop since he was always seen hanging around. Which he didn't mind of course since it meant he'd get lots of attention from people, which meant lots of petting.

Other things:

- he's about the size of a small cat
- likes attention. please pet him
- when you pet him you'll get little bits of glowy dust on your hands
- tries to make potions on his own when the witch isn't around, which he then will try to sell to other aetherlings or creatures if there are any that he happens to run into. he probably has somewhat of a shady reputation among some, but doesn't realize it.
- when he makes his own brews he'll sometimes taste test them, which has resulted in poisoning quite a few times.
- he's kind of like a lil witch apprentice i guess?? the witch probably made that tiny hat for him to wear. but he thinks he's already a full blown witch, or a mage even.
- when he's not doing witch things, he usually just sits on top of the house or wanders around the woods.
- carries lightning bugs and glowing mushrooms in the jars and bag on his back! he usues them as ingredients or just to light his way
- has a fondness for shinies and glowing things. he'll sell you potions, medicines, and ingredients for shiny things!
- attracted to anything that glows or sparkles
- he keeps his prized collection of shinies in an antique jewelry box hidden in the witch's house somewhere. it's mostly full of small jars and bottles, shiny metal bits, pieces of mirrors and glass, various types of rocks, and crystals.
