A tattoo design of an Aztec were-jaguar... the ground surface is both tiles, and also skin - hence the blood...
Done for a guy who is going to get it tattooed on his bicep - I'm looking forward to seeing pics of it when he gets it done =).
Done in inks and acrylic paints on 9"x12" illustration board.

Wouldn't it have to be rather large for any of the detail to show up on his arm? Something this beautifully detailed should be done larger on the back, not a bicep. Hopefully the tattoo artist is really, really good, and doesn't screw it up too bad. Or understands that some of the detail needs to be taken out before doing it so that it looks better on his arm.
Either way, I am interested in seeing the results. Maybe I'll be wrong, and the tattooist will succeed.

Very nice. Though, depending on how big they make it they might have to do it in two sessions. One for the blacks and one for the colors. If he was getting on his back (which is where I figured it was going when I saw the title) then it definitely would have to be. Anyways, again, amazing, it'll make a gorgeous tattoo.
