Metal Food
I do not need air. Air is for those skinny eastern dragons hidden from human sight. I am flying in the sky at three in the morning where no one can spot me. My obsidian gem shimmers, and I blend in with the darkness and void. Those metal contraptions can eat suspicious objects, but not even the largest bullet can eat me. This bowl shaped object hurls towards me, and I eat the metal like candy. A good piece of metal is hard to come by. The best metal tastes cold and crunchy like how mother makes them.
Mother tried to fatten me up, but I gave her a mouthful. At Venus, she made these sulfur and metal sandwiches that weighted a ton for me. I was lounging in a lava pool when she brought the sandwiches. The sandwich looked like two sheets of paper with yellow rocks in the middle. I had not eaten for a long time. She placed the sandwich on my snout and her feet on my arms.
She wanted me to eat because she was attracted to those fat eastern dragons with those bulging stomachs, but they did not live in Venus. I already knew this, because about twelve eastern dragons could withstand the atmospheric pressure of Venus, and they were all showing off their boney frames, as if they were muscles. She tried flattering a random dragon by showing off her butt, but then she realized that she didnt have a butt and wagged her tail instead. She never saw him again. The next best thing for her was to fatten me up.
I shoved her feet away and flew straight for The Rocks.
I knew how to build muscle. When I was bored or annoyed, I flew toward The Rocks. The Rocks was a pile of rocks located on the tip of the tallest volcano. Those rocks were made for building muscle. I liked to toss a rock down the volcano in order to see whether I could stop the rock from falling all the way down. Lava spews every three minutes, so I had to save these rocks from melting in the lava. The death rocks were the heaviest rocks to lift. After the rock chases, I lifted these rocks.
But Mother landed with more of those sandwiches again. I threw my rock on the ground and left some cracks on the ground. Mother shoved some of those sandwiches toward my mouth, but they were shut like a stone door. I grabbed her sandwiches and tossed them into the lava stream. They sizzled into nothing.
She grabbed my stomach, and I threw her into the ground. Her body skipped on the ground.
''I am not your little fat baby dragon!'' I said, ''Stop treating me like a baby and leave me alone!''
I flew away. With my flight speed, I could traverse half of the Milky Way in a couple of days. But I had to look back.
She lied there as if she was dead. Her white scales on her sides were cracked. I did not mean to do that. Some scales lay on the ground. I did not mean to do that. I came closer. A gem was on the floor. She looked up with her blue eyes crying with red droplets. I did not mean to do that.
She grabbed the gem and said, ''If you want to leave, go. But before you do, I have something to say. I am sorry. Ever since I have lost my father who went into the abyss outside the Milky Way, I have been trying to find someone who I could cuddle and love. We used to make those sandwiches, and my father ate so much that his stomach was heavy like these rocks. I do not know. I thought you could be like my father. But now I realize that I was wrong in treating you like him. You are different, and, I do not know.'' She grabbed the gem on the ground and held it toward me. ''Take this. I have not been using it. It will hide you from any danger by becoming a part of the void. But please come back. Do not be gone forever like my father. If you want, you can venture to Earth, where they have these weird looking dots on them. If you stay there, I can come visit you. I do not know.''
I took the gem and whispered, ''I will find this Earth and live there. Mother, I want to say sorry, but I cannot.''
''What?''
I did not respond and flew away.
The obsidian gem emits a dull black light when I am a part of the darkness. I live near the Earth, but I fear the day when Mother comes. I cannot talk to her. I rather float in the darkness, alone. The flying metals are too tasty. They are always flying in the air, and I always eat them. What else can I do? The metal floats into my mouth.
A white light is moving from afar. My stomach growls for more metal, and I fly away from the light. My stomach wobbles as I try to move in the void. Another metal dish floats toward me. The light is bigger. The dish is next to me, and I grab it. I can see my mother. I put the metal in front of me, so that Mother cannot see me. She looks around from afar. My head is in the dish.
She cannot see me. Not like this.

This is a speed write that I did in two hours and fifteen minutes. I'm having trouble with actually publishing this (as a text file and not a doc), and I hope that I receive some form of help. I wrote this because I was inspired by some art to do this.
