Just because I embrace the adage 'imagination over imagery' doesn't mean I don't appreciate imagery -- especially if it's imaginative.
That being said, no art or sight is ever as vibrant and as perfect as what we can imagine. No person will ever be as beautiful as what we see in our dreams; a single line of resonant prose paints a picture with a brighter gleam than any brush can splash on canvas.
That, in turn, being said, the imagination sometimes likes to shirk its responsibilities and most certainly can use some fresh fuel. A picture contains a wealth of inspiration that brings fresh lustre to the dreams that follow, and that, brothers and sisters, ain't bad.
On the 'me' side of things, I'm the creator and writer of the badass new graphic novel Heathen City (visit www.heathencity.com ) and run the furry fiction archive www.furrag.com and the furry publishing house Bad Dog Books at www.baddogbooks.com !

Seeking short stories for the Voice Of Dog podcast
4 years ago
Hey folx! Since I’ve seen some questions about The Voice of Dog, the story-reading podcast (www.thevoice.dog), I’d like to share the current requirements for story submissions:
1) A single-part story under 5000 words, or a two-part story under 10,000 words
2) Any rating, any genre, any topic
3) NO BUMMERS
I leave this to your discretion. While previously TVOD required stories to be “uplifting” I don’t think that needs to be a requirement any more. There’s room to explore more melancholy and regret — but not hopelessness. Not despair.
That's it! If you have a story you think is a good fit, please get in touch with me and tell me about it! I'm khakidoggy on Twitter and Telegram, where I'm most active, and I'd love to hear from you
