I'm a bull that's just recently fallen into the fandom in a big way.

I'm an avid amateur photographer; especially love macro work and portraits of my friends. :) In addition to my other random floral/coral/figure work, see my gallery page for pics of some of my furry friends. :3

I've been chatting with a few photographers out there in furryland, so thought I'd put a little more info about my photography experience in here. I first got into photography in high school photo/yearbook, with a Canon film SLR - B&W and did all our own developing and enlarging. After that, however, I didn't have access to a good camera, so fell out of the hobby.

The digital revolution came, and I had to have a digital camera.... only to find that point-and-shoot digitals suck only slightly less than point-and-shoot film cameras, and the shutterbug passion never came back. Last year, I started a coral reef aquarium, and was so fascinated by my tentacled pets that I started snapping shots of them... then got the best point-and-shoot I could find... only to still be frustrated -- to get good macro shots, you need manual focus, and you just can't really do that on a point and shoot. So, I took the leap, got a Canon digital SLR, and the obsession exploded. Not too long after, I made friends with a retired photographer and ended up buying a portable studio set from him, and started working on more formal shots.

And now getting into astrophotography!!! But still have so much more to learn...
