There Was A Time...

I used to be a music machine. I would come home from work and immediately start a track. Sometimes the track would suck, and I'd give up. But when I nailed it, I felt great. I know that not many people even heard the songs, but I was just happy that I finished them. There was a lot to learn, and I did learn a lot. But I don't think I take as many risks as I used to. My friends are mostly gone, and I moved. I lost the spark of inspiration and don't have a muse. It feels like I have become a robot, good at the technical aspects of music. Nickelback formulaic sounds good, but it's copy and paste. Im sure I could get back to it but latly I feel empty, like the drive is gone and I know I have plenty to strive for its just... I don't know anymore.
