Finally whippin' (or in the process of)

"Yup, we can talk it here," says Mr. John (not their real name) as we sat by the training circuit. The bench was under a shade and I was fixated on the kinds of manouevre the students had to learn and practice on the circuit. There was this one kid who had to go over a high speed bump at full throttle without hitting a post just two feet away. She did quite well though. Not surprised honestly.
"So 100 bucks will be the booking fee. Then pay the other 400 at your first class."
Honestly, I didn't know what to expect. The guy was nice and soft-spoken. My mother was half-joking at him when she asked him "not to berate me when teaching," which made me like, please you don't have to tell him that. I've gotten used to getting yelled at even during school years anyway.
Well, funny thing about this driving school, the security post has like a karaoke setup. So while we were waiting to go home (my mum had to book a Grab, basically an Uber), one of the security officers was singing his heart out at 6 in the evening. Like okay, there were no students/people there, but yish, you could've waited till the school is properly closed or something? (not complaining tho, he sounded very talented)
Anyway, looking forward to my first driving class/lecture. Ugh, just when you think you're done with macadamia but this one is defo gonna be nuts.
