As someone who is a regular (and likely heavily addicted) commissioner, I tend to get a lot of scam 'artists' messaging me and asking to be commissioned. I bet a lot of fellow commissioners (and artists I bet) deal with this. This is becoming especially prevalent on Discord. They will be like "Hey I got your Discord off FA" and I'll be like "My Discord information is not on FA." I know the obvious thing is just "ignore random people messaging you on Discord", but this is getting annoying. I figure 90% of these folks are scammers or bots, but just in case some newbie artist gets the impression this is how you get people to commission them, I'm going to add an extra nail in the coffin by adding this:
IF WE ARE NOT ALREADY FRIENDS, DO NOT MESSAGE ME ON DISCORD ASKING FOR COMMISSIONS!!!
If you are looking for work, show your work here on FA, on Blue Sky or some other accessible gallery, and clear instructions on how to contact you for commission requests. Put up good enough work, and I'll message you.
