Anyway, I think the recent announcements are pretty stupid, sent in a ticket with suggestions though, so, done what I can. I'm not planning to go anywhere or anything, but I know some of you are.
So you can find me at the following places:

2023 updates - I am making videogames!
Posted 2 years agoI looked and saw that my last journal was literally over 2 years old, which is lame! There should be more journals than that.
So, back then I had hurt my hand and it was STARTING TO get better. Now, I still have hand problems, as I understand, I will forever, it's not a thing that will ever fully heal, BUT, it has continued to improve, and doesn't usually affect my daily life unless I overdo it. Part of 'not overdoing it' has meant that I have to not do too much of one thing. But I can do a lot of DIFFERENT things! Over the last few years, I began to dabble in some coding and game development, and writing. And while I never thought I would be able to do coding, I've actually found coding for game development to be QUITE fun!
I put a lot of work into the VOREStation SS13 server~ But on top of that, I've also been writing stories, and for a text adventure~ You saw some of that in October, with Ghost of Arcwright. I would like to do more writing like that, and will PROBABLY make a sequel to that story sometime soon~
I've been trying to get back into posting more regularly! There's a lot of stuff I haven't posted here. I'm just a little forgetful is all. I post all the things I make on my discord server, if you ever want to peek such things! Link!
Further, I have been trying to make NEAT VIDEOGAMES! You may have noticed, I've been posting about updates to the text adventure I have been working on, Three Days to Port! I've been making that in quest, but I am ALSO learning blender and godot on the side, and have EVEN BIGGER PLANS for more videogames after Three Days to Port is done. Some of those future ideas are going to involve the skills in writing I am learning while making Three Days to Port as well! I'm learning so much!!!!!!!
That said, I'm releasing updates to the game once a month. You can find updates to it on the discord, and over on Patreon.
I have also been keeping my little website up to date. I would kind of like to use it for more things in the future though. It would be neat if I could turn it into a place for hosting comics and such things. You can find that here. Turbulent Stars is the name I've given to the wider story universe thingy that most of my ideas are connected to, in case you were wondering!
Anyway! Expect more art and more games, and please share my stuff with people you think might be interested! I really love making art and games and writing stories, I hope I can keep doing this for a long time!

Hello! Update, and the future of Softness
Posted 4 years agoBeen out of the doodling business for a while. Turns out the pace I was keeping, on top of doing twenty colored sketches in 24 hours was PERHAPS, too much. Over the course of August, the problems with my hand got worse and worse, until I wasn't able to work anymore. Which, as you might imagine, was very scaring, and crushing for me. A lot of how I deal with worry and stress and things is working, drawing.
I had to basically totally stop using my hands in September, and got into physical therapy in November.
SINCE THEN, slowly, very, very, VERY slowly, my hands have been getting better. It's still pretty ups and downs time for them, I am able to work for an hour or two on most days, some days are better than others.
But, basically, it's sort of put into perspective that I quite simply cannot keep up the pace I had before. Turns out that you actually need days off or your tendons start to disintegrate. :U
THAT SAID.
I have some projects in the works that I think some of you might like, that I love working on that should come out at some point eventually. I don't really want to say anything about them yet because it's still very early days, but, I have an idea that some of you might like to support.
In the short term, I am probably gonna try to work on some more YCH type things a little more often. Get some really good ideas flowing in the times that I can really get some doodling going and let people get in on them if they like?
I'll still do commissions, but, facts are, I gotta be more picky with the projects I take. Might need to raise my prices eventually too, but I detest doing that so I'll have to figure out what's right. For the time I put into the work I do I make under minimum wage. I've never been about trying to like, get rich doing what I do or anything, but like. You know. I quit minimum wage work to do art because it was literally killing me. Now the work I am putting into this job is causing me injury. It took years to get to this point, but here we are.
So! Gonna need to reevaluate how I price my work and such, so that I can afford to take days off, because otherwise I will literally lose the ability to use my right thumb eventually.
And that would be lame.
All that said. I appreciate your attention and business. I want to make things that make people happy.

Posted 5 years agoHey so I'm thinking that I'm gonna probably bring back the old format for taking sketch commissions like I used to! BUT! It's not gonna be quite as much, because doing basically only that really burnt me out on it.
So I was thinking about taking in stream sketch commissions on sundays, since that's one of the busier stream days usually.
I stream doodles most days, and have gotten caught up on the queue, so I've been taking a few commissions. Right now I have some health problems that are interferring with my ability to focus and be productive so I'm kind of holding off on super opening for commissions properly again until I've got some idea on how to resolve that.
BUT! Just saying, keep a peeper open for sketch strems soon maybe probably. <3

Posted 5 years agoI'm well. Been working through some personal stuff, and trying my best to get through it and get back to a regular working schedule.
I've been making some [SLOW] progress on my project stuff, and have been trying to bet back into drawing for fun and junk.
I should note that I am as ever open for commissions, and I usually stream four times a week over at https://picarto.tv/VerySoft even if I don't always announce it.
I really ought to get into the habit of posting here at least once a week, but if you'd like to see more regular updates for me, I doodle on stream regularly, and post everything I make on discord.

Posted 6 years agoI really want to impress you internet people. Fuzzy in disposition or not. I am aiming to make some things that I really hope will make you all go woah.
It's taking a while to get done, and it's taking a lot for me to balance things right now, but I've been feeling more confident, and I've like, actually started the work, which is the hardest part.
It's not the kind of thing I can put out in super small parts though.
I'm not too sure if you guys will like it, but I hope you will. It's really important to me to really impress people. I know I won't impress everyone, but it's been so long since I've had real fire in my heart, wind in my sails. Ambition and all that!!
So, I really can't wait to show what I'm working on. It will be a while yet, but I want to be like, *APPLIES AFFECTION TO U

I like that kind of stuff tbh! And I think some of the stuff I've made lately has been some of my best stuff~
Now, I have some cool plans in mind for things to do in the near future, particularly personal short story comic-ish things, but I'd really like to sort of get a feeling for what you guys think would be more cool to see.
Tbh most of the magic in posting art anywhere is the interactions and stuff. Like, the main reason I post things online is to see what people think of them, to see what people are excited about, ya know? When that's not present, it's honestly kind of discouraging!
Of course, I don't -expect- you all to like, comment and go crazy on everything I do, but ya! The main reason I like posting and stuff is for the interaction. I know I like that stuff. So! I'd like to know what people think would be cool to see more of and stuff~

It's pretty quiet most times, but it's where I post all my stuff and announce streams and stuff first.
I have some pretty huge bills coming up, so I need to kick back into high gear now that I'm all caught up with backlog things. There's still a little to do of course. I need to make a new price sheet and modify some of my things! But! Yaya, commissions will be open soon! I'll announce it here when that happens! Now that I'm just about caught up on the things I owe, I'm finally able to be a bit more active, and I've got plans for how to avoid getting so far behind again.

Welcome all, and an update!
Posted 6 years agoI've been working hard to clear up the somewhat extensive backlog, and get all my ducks in a row and all that.
The backlog is coming along nicely, and I'm hoping to get it all cleared out this month. There's a couple of projects that I think will take a bit longer than that, but we'll see!
For those of you asking if I'm open for commissions, the answer is: No-ish. I do still take commissions during sketch streams, but I'm not open for anything outside of those right now, while I work on the backlog.
I hope you all are enjoying the art I'm putting up here. All the attention and kind words mean a whole lot to me.
Of course, if you like what I do, please do share my stuff around. I appreciate any help you guys can give.
