I can’t seem to do art often enough for anyone to want commissions from me, so i’m not gonna have them open anymore. It’s not like i need them anyway; i have a job that pays well. I’ll just be doing art for myself and possibly some gifts for my friends whenever i have the energy.

As you can probably tell from my recent submissions, I’m getting a bit burnt out from doing art every day. I don’t have the energy to get more than a sketch done each day and I find it hard to focus on anything with this summer heat constantly leaking into my house. As a result, I’m taking a break from Daily Art Summer starting today, but I’ll be coming back to this after roughly a week or two, maybe more if I need it. I’ll also be taking weekend breaks after that to try and avoid further burnout. I enjoy drawing, but my best work happens when I actually have the time and energy to put effort into it.

For those who don't follow my Twitter, I'm giving myself a challenge this summer: I'm going to draw at least one thing every single day until my classes start back in fall! This can be anything from a simple sketch to a fullbody, lineless, shaded piece or even a sequence (or part of one!). I didn't have much time for art during the Spring quarter, despite having less classes. That's why I'm doing this over the summer while I have *no* classes, so I can get as much art out as possible.

I'm looking forward to all the art that I'm going to be making this summer, and I should have tons of practice by the time it's over. Hell, maybe I can figure out time to do more art when fall quarter starts! The possibilities are endless!

Since I got a drawing tablet back in January, I'm able to draw more quickly than I did with a mouse. Because of this I decided to reduce my commission prices, so the base price for a lineless drawing is now $25 instead of $65.

The spring quarter recently began at my university, and as a result I have a new class schedule. I only have three classes now instead of four, so I'll have some more time to draw. Also, I might reduce commission prices soon since I'm able to draw stuff quicker now. I may start back doing art streams if I get enough ideas for art.

Soooooo, the commission system I was going to do didn't work out very well; I never found time to do anything art related while I was in school. I got lazy and didn't find any time to reopen commissions, do art streams or even doodle. So instead of doing a monthly system I'm just going to reopen commissions indefinitely, so I can just find time to draw once someone commissions me.

For the past year or so, I’ve had my commissions constantly open, and an hourly rate posted on my commission info. During that time, I have received zero commissions, and I haven’t really been doing art as consistently as I should. So, I decided to revamp my commission system. I have prices posted for headshots and fullbody commissions, as well as fees for extra characters and nsfw/vore. I will also be opening and closing commissions on a monthly basis, even if I receive nothing while they’re open. That way, when I close my commissions, I can schedule things like raffles, giveaways, YCH’s, and just practicing in general for the rest of the month.
