coming out to parents - want to work more

i apologize for this entry, but commissions still are my only source of income, and on top of that, i am finally going to come out to my parents next week
even if our relationship has become strained over the years, they have still financially supported me when i needed it, and i am not expecting to have a good reaction with coming out, and for that reason i want to push for as much work as possible to add to our safety funds
all my commissions are discounted for at least one more week for the holidays, to be finished before Christmas!
you can get a simple coloured sketch, or a tiny pixel sprite for as little as $5 (they work great as icons), or a fully painted two person piece with a pretty background for $35 with the ongoing sale - or anything in between
i also have several ych templates that you can choose to have your ocs, characters or fanart in, going for 1 template for $30, 2 for $50, etc for fully shaded pictures with this sale
if you can't afford a commission, you can donate as little as $1 to either my paypal or ko-fi - but if you do more than $5 i insist on drawing something for you!! i have never felt as good with making art as now, and i Love and want to create happy things for my friends whenever possible

second, i am going to participate in art fight for the very first time this year!! i am on team sugar, and you can find my profile here: https://artfight.net/~postponedmovies . hmu if youre also there and would like to get attacked >:3c (i am ok with friendly fire)
finally, my break is officially over today BUT i am making a conscious effort not to bring myself to full burnout like before again. i have had a very unhealthy mindset when it comes to working on commissions, where i would regularly push myself to crank out sometimes 6 to 10 pieces per day, and now that i have had the chance to rest, it really put in perspective how much harm it was doing to myself, and also to the art i was making!
not pushing myself like that means that my turnaround times will be anywhere between 2 to 4 weeks now, and i hope you can understand! nonetheless, i am still open for commissions as they do make me super happy which makes them a happy source of income as well, and as any of my past clients can tell, i am ALWAYS happy to update you on the progress of your piece(s), and i make my owed art queue publicly available so you can more or less see when yours will come up!
on that note, there are still 2-3 pride related ychs i wanted to share that i will be uploading soon, and while pride themed ychs + okra project donations will keep happening indefinitely, i will still be putting focus on them for this month
as always, feel free to suggest scenarios/backgrounds/activities you'd like to see in future ychs!!

new upcoming raffle + custom/ych physical merch
Posted 5 years agoi'm happy to notice that i am very close to 100 watchers, and to celebrate, when i hit that milestone i'll be hosting another free illustration raffle!! ;w; terms and prizes should be the same as before
my partner and i have also been looking into adding physical merch to our repertoire, and aside from our own designs, i would love to offer ych physical badges, charms, stickers and maybe pins in the future, i'd just like to run a couple of trials before making that decision, and if anyone has suggestions of what you'd like to see, you can comment here!!
that aside, i am still in the process of creating some sample needle felt fursona sculptures, which i'd definitely open commissions for!!

tomorrow i get started on the sketches for the second round, and then the final pieces over the course of the week
the current auction rounds are still open, but after they close they will only reopen again one more time, as fixed price ychs, to be completed before valentines
after valentines, theyll remain as fixed price ychs, and i am excited to create new ych auctions from new poses!
