I'm debating going to FC in January 2022 as my first con since quarantine hit. Since the con is retro themed, I'd love to bring my Polaroid camera and take photos for people for $3-5 to cover costs and get in some good practice. Polaroid fursuit photos, how cool would that be? Trying to gauge interest as I'd have to buy the film before the con.

With any luck, I'll have a Danger Mouse outfit for Mappy by FC! One of my favorite things about fur cons is wearing more obscure animal-based cosplays and not being dismissed by people who don't recognize the character.

I also intend on making a Cringer tail from He-Man. A fullsuit (or a partial with Prince Adam cosplay) would be fun too.

I got the ball rolling on my xweetok neopet cosplay. I'll be picking up the headbase at FC, and I already have the tail done.

Super Chicken is still on the back burner.

I'm gonna make another Popple and a Care Bear cat plush for myself as well, so stay tuned!

I want to start taking plushie commissions but they take a lot of time, mostly because I can only do some parts on a sewing machine. For a 12"-16" plush like this, materials end up being at least $40-50 (though I'd need to buy more than that at a time) and it takes me about a week to finish it. How much should I charge? Does anyone pay over $250 for q custom plush like this?

A local arcade got a Mappy fame cabinet not too long ago and it's gotten me a little excited about playing it again, both there and on my home joystick that I've had since 2004ish. I've been looking at photos of mouse fursuit heads and seriously considering making one. It could be generic, and with a police costume from a Halloween store, I could have a Mappy costume ready by the end of October. I need to replenish my stock of white fur, anyway.

I also will most likely be trading a tail for a resin cat head base, which will also be exciting, so I can try furring something with a nice shape, to really get a feel for how the fur changes the appearance. I can also practice shaving fur properly.

What do you think? Who remembers Mappy and would be happy to see him walking around at a con, even if the head isn't great? It wouldn't be as bad as my first head, btw. I learned a lot by making it.

Do people buy premade tails? Would common tails sell better, like foxes and huskies, or cool tails like randomly colored dragons or lemurs? Would YOU buy a premade tail?

(I want to make premades using colors I want for my own projects, and I can also judge the price more easily once I've made it based on time. I have some neat ideas but I don't need more tails to base characters off of.)
