Moving
Posted 5 months agoNo, this isn't about websites--it's about real life! I'm preparing for a cross-country move for a new job so I can live closer to my family, and there's a lot to do in a short time o.o Getting my condo on the market, packing, actually relocating myself all the way out west, starting the new job, finding a new place to live, and all the stuff I've gotta figure out and coordinate along the way! It's scary and it's exciting and I've had all the dragons on carrying-harness training flights to make sure they're ready for the weight of my stuff once it's time to head out the door!
I mean, I guess I could ship them, too, but that'd get expensive even accounting for the fact I already have the gear to make them sit still in the back of the trucks...
In preparation for this move, I've actually managed something that hasn't been true in 8 or 9 years: I've posted all the art I've commissioned! I'm sure it'll all start stacking up again once I'm settled in and have a good idea of what my new budget will look like, but for now, the decks are cleared and it makes me wonder, what other writing projects might call to me without these illustrations obligating me to think about them... Hmmm.

A Great Loss
Posted 7 months agoI know a lot of people are saying things today. But that doesn't make things not worth saying.
I didn't know Dragoneer personally. Might have traded comments on Fur Affinity here or there. But that contribution of the site where we could exchange those comments is what matters: that when I was 18-19, didn't know what furries were and was poking around the internet for dragon porn, my search brought me to this place.
And then I couldn't register, because registration was closed for a while. But at last I joined, and I survived the big 2008 outage, various DDOS attacks and outages and upgrades and all the other twists and turns over the last--holy crap, 17 years, this account is nearly old enough to vote, and if the site makes it a few more years--I hope it does--I'll have lived more of my life with an FA account than without one.
And that's important! Before I found FA, I was just poking at novel writing here and there but didn't have anything to do with what I crafted. I'd been writing for 5 years or so but I had hardly anyone to share it with, and after finding FA, after finding content from people like
glee and
thelonelydragon that introduced me to kinky concepts I hadn't really thought of before, I decided to give naughty short stories a shot myself. And FA gave me something I'd never really had before: readers! Feedback! People creating and sharing in the joy of creation and how one person's ideas can spark inspiration in another to encourage them to put time into their own creativity, in a place that helped to bring those people together.
I don't know how much writing I'd do if there hadn't been a place like FA to connect me and my writing with others. I went to a summer camp for young writers in high school, and a comment to my parents from one of the advisers there was that I struck them as someone who didn't just want but needed to write, to put the ideas in my head onto a page, and that's probably true; if I hadn't ever found FA, I think I still would have kept writing here and there, but surely less, without the encouragement and inspiration I found here, and lacking that feedback, maybe those sparking ideas never get anywhere as life as a normie takes up the space and there's no incentive to put time into that little hobby. (I certainly would have hardly ever dreamed of commissioning artwork, without a community like this!) So having found this place that he'd created and nurtured, getting to release my own creativity here with others who share the same interests, it means a lot to me.
Even if I didn't know him, I'm sad he's gone. And I hope this place that he kept running through thick and thin keeps soldiering on, because it's where I can share things with all of you. Rest in peace.
For those who want other locations to find me just in case, I have a few.
I've been crossposting my entire gallery to SoFurry since the Yiffstar days, and nearly everything is there--even some of the old Hueroc/Ellora stuff that's not on FA anymore. https://guardian-hawk.sofurry.com/
I have accounts on Weasyl and Itaku; they're currently pretty much empty, but if I start using them, I'll say something somewhere.
I still use twitter, in a stubborn "I've been here far longer than this mess" sort of way, but I'm also mirroring anything I say there onto mastodon and bluesky if those better suit your preferences.

Anthrocon 2023
Posted a year agoJust figured I'd let y'all know I'll be returning to Anthrocon this year! I worry that not having been since '19 might make me a bit more shy than in years past, but I'll try my best x3 Hope to have a good time with the usual fluffs and maybe I'll bump into some people there!
Oh right
Posted 2 years agoJournals exist! Hope you've all been well. I was on my page and saw I'd just ticked past 500,000 views, a nice round number, and it's been almost 2 years since my last journal, so. Hello!
I know I had a bit of a gap in January with the writing. Still in a bit of the doldrums but I think I've got some fun stuff coming up soon, to go with art and stand on its own. The climax of Kerreth's pony/witch story arc looms, there's a dragon deity who could live in bondage forever, and plenty of commissioned artwork you might have spied among my favorites. I even poked at the next part of Hueroc's story arc last month, though only a little, for anyone who remembers that cliffhanger.
Work is taxing but I do try to find the energy for the fun dragon adventures and misadventures~ More to come!

[April Fools] A discord server for bound dragons!
Posted 4 years agoHey folks!
I've had some people asking me about this, and I figured it was high time for me to create a discord server for people who share my interests!
Do you like bound dragons? Do you like my bound dragons? Isn't it fun to see them all tied up and moaning and squirming? Well, would you like a chance to get to know them better, and get to know their favorite predicaments? This server could be a place to get as close to my dragons as you can, to talk to them and see what the world is like through their eyes... Seems like a fun time to me! I'm sure they'd love to chat with someone!
Someone, anyone, who might be willing to untie them and give them a little relief? Nah, surely they're not that desperate... I mean, they like it, right?
Anyway! If that seems like fun to you, feel free to stop by and hang out! [link/server deleted]
I hope everyone enjoyed this little April Fools joke! Looks like my devious trap ensnared over a hundred captives, in the end >3> I've deleted the server, but I've preserved a record of the experience in this comment down here ^^

Serpentine
Posted 4 years agoAnyone been reading Novice Dragoneer/Daughter of the Serpentine? They're a couple new EE Knight books, set an unspecified amount of time after his Age of Fire series. They're not told from a dragon's perspective, but they still have dragons in them and I've still been enjoying them quite a bit! All the characters are super likeable, and Aurue is adorable.
Anyway, I just finished Daughter of the Serpentine today and I hadn't really seen anyone else talking about these books, so I thought I'd bring them up! Has anyone else had a chance to check them out?

Another Year
Posted 4 years agoOoops... I kinda haven't had a lot to say this past year, so I guess I haven't made a journal in a while. Meanwhile I've passed 5,000 watchers, 500 submissions, and it's my birthday again! Thanks for sticking around and enjoying the stories and artwork, everyone ^^
Time Passes
Posted 5 years agoAnd another birthday arrives. I turn another year older today x) Hope you all have a good day!
Anthrocon 2019

400 Submissions! A Recap.
Posted 6 years agoNot only are we closing in on 11 years on FA for me, but yesterday I hit the 400-submission mark in this gallery of mine. So I thought it'd be fun to do a bit of a recap! Let's take a look at a few statistics:
Most Views!
This category seems to be pretty much entirely ruled by
Endium's art. He drew 14 out of the top 16 pieces by views; this comic page got the most views to date, followed by the rest of the comic and plenty more of his stuff.
Most Comments!
This is more of a mixed bag, since not everything that you all like to see necessarily provokes discussion. Let's do a quick top 5:
4. (tie) Maximum Security Facility evidently prompted a lot of you to talk about the thought of being so utterly and hopelessly trapped for a very long time~
4. (tie) Dragon Wash apparently revealed that a lot of you want/need a good bath!
3. The Thief was one of my oldest commissions and first comic, though it seems there were a number of you eager to assert that she didn't deserve that fate. Well she says "mmmmff!" to that!
2. Self-Bondage part 3 appears a second time, and I got a lot of very unfair chiding for not reading or knowing instructions or insistence that obviously I wanted that to happen. I am obviously innocent of that, and the instructions are quite confusing I tell you!
1. Ask Hueroc! Inviting comments clearly worked for this meme, as I got to answer a great many in-character questions about the big red dragon.
Most Favorites!
This category was surprisingly competitive, as just a couple of favorites separated 3 different submissions all vying for 5th place. I'll give an honorable mention to Good Girl, because I found
Fortuna's art super hot and I'm glad you all did too. On to the top 5!
5. Self-Bondage part 2. Everyone likes seeing a dragon get enveloped in latex! Especially when said enveloping involves a big gag and a big plug violating the poor thing, and
Endium's wonderfully shiny art certainly realized it well! Add in the poor dragon having no evident way out, it's easy to see why you all liked this one :3
4. Override. In which we find out just how much people like robots! Specifically tied up robots locked in chastity and getting their rumps pounded. Good choice, especially with all the marvelous detail
Tanraak put into it, that poor pent up thing with no choice but to be reprogrammed~ Plus as a bonus this piece started making a few friends of mine start thinking about dragon androids too~
3. Bulge. Another
Tanraak commission, featuring more shinyness, a muscular rump, and quite the latex-squeezed erection. Hueroc remembers when I let him have those! It's a very nice view--quite similar to the previous entry on this list, actually, but I'm not complaining! Certainly gives an up close personal look at what's making the dragon so pent up c:
2. Maximum Security Facility. It's no surprise seeing this piece here. The level of detail put into the latex, the lighting, the anatomy is all top notch, lots of shiny latex and little wrinkles of that wonderful tight material, and seeing a dragon just hopelessly wrapped up on it is always a plus <3 One of my absolute favorites too!
1. Ashar's Relief. Honestly this one is a big surprise, and it wasn't even a close race--this has the most favorites in my gallery by more than 80 over 2nd place.
Endium's art is good, and the bondage is tight, but apparently there is a demand for forced autofellatio art that I did not realize existed! Looking around a bit the piece does seem to be rather unique, and thus it lands on the top of the list.
Most Favorites--Stories Only Edition!
It's not a big surprise that the art gets more favorites than my standalone stories (to give you an idea, #1 on this list is #107 overall). It doesn't take as much of a time commitment to enjoy, and it's not for everyone, I get it. But as a writer, I want to be sure to highlight the most popular of these too! Obviously much of the art that does rank highly also has a story posted in the details underneath it, but since a favorite doesn't mean that story actually got read, this category is going to be for story submissions only.
5. Dragonsbane. This one has been my featured submission for several years, so it getting a fair bit of exposure is no surprise! It's got plenty of bondage, denial and humiliation, plus a lighter tone, and it was fun to write so I'm glad it got some attention.
4. System Restore. More kinky robots! This story was a fun experiment with some kinks I was new to, so it was good to see it rack up a bunch of favorites to tell me I must have done a good job ^^ I will clearly have to keep in mind in the future that you all like pent-up androids...
3. Detained. This and some of the others on the list sure makes it seem like you folks like dragons getting stuck quite hopelessly and permanently in bondage and chastity... which is good, cause I like writing that theme too :3 Probably the most harsh of the stories to make the list.
2. In Need of Company. At last, something consensual! This story (and its two sequels) were great fun for me. I really like writing horny squirmy needy subby dragonesses (duh >.>; ) and this story/series were an opportunity for me to do lots, and lots, and lots of that. It was great fun, one of the first stories I got an accompanying illustration for, so it was good to see it get popular.
1. Eternal Dungeon. Once again, I had great fun with this one! I really liked the sense of mounting dread I got to play with as the dragon explored deeper and deeper, let himself get tempted even when he knew he shouldn't, and found himself so deep over his head... It was very intense and exciting so I'm not surprised to see it here. Even if the poor dragon might not agree, but that'll just make him struggle more, and that's always the best part <3
So after all of those highlights, here's a question: are they your favorites too? Or do you have an old favorite piece in my gallery that didn't make the list that you want to remind me of? Themes you want to see me play with some more, revisit, expand on? And I'm always willing to experiment and try things out, as long as those things involve tied-up dragons not getting to cum ;)
That's me. 400 submissions of dragons squirming and struggling for release, and many more to come~

Anthrocon 2018
Posted 6 years agoHey folks! Sorry for the late journal, been stupid busy. But I'll be at Anthrocon once again this year! Rooming with
renzey
relkyon and
lindserton, there from Thursday to Sunday. Feel free to say hello if you see me there! I don't bite through the muzzle. c:

New Lair
Posted 7 years agoGosh, I went a long time without making a journal, again.
So. I have been pretty busy. I just bought a new lair! I have been busy arranging that, and yesterday I started moving out of my old apartment and into the new place. So many stairs to carry the heavy furniture up! Good thing I'm a big dragon... and had some help x3 Pretty worn out and still a bunch more little stuff to move, but that's what's been occupying my time... and art budget... and energy.
*sprawls, pant, pant, pant*
Hope you've all been doing well! I'm sure I'll be settled in and tormenting dragons some more soon~

Merry Christmas!
Posted 7 years agoMerry Christmas everyone, and happy holidays! I am bad at journals, and thus I missed announcing a number of things:
1. I passed my big engineering exam! I'm now a licensed Professional Engineer in my home state. I am very proud of this. :) Plus it means I got a raise, so I can hoard even more bondage art :3
2. At the end of November I reached the 10 year anniversary of joining Fur Affinity! I didn't start posting stories until the following summer, but gosh. I've been a furry for a long time now. Here's to many more years~
3. I... totally failed NaNoWriMo again. :/ I still really want to write the idea I had, but focusing on things is hard. I'm sure you have all noticed the reduction in standalone stories, and I dunno when I can manage to get back to that. At least I still have a ton of leftover art to write shorter things for...
Hope you all have a good end of the year.

Huerocday
Posted 7 years agoIt's my birthday! Leave birthday wishes~
A couple notes!
1. I'm just 20-odd watchers away from 3,000. Exciting!
2. I'm just over a month away from taking the Principles & Practices of Engineering exam to try to become a licensed professional engineer. It's a big endeavor and I really need to be studying up for it, so I may be a bit scarce between now and then!

Posting Art
Posted 7 years agoSo I've had a large art budget recently, but not a lot of will or motivation to write short stories to accompany said art. As I'm sure you can tell from my gallery, I love to post stories with the commissions I get, because I think that context adds quite a bit to the illustration and makes both parts of the art/story combination that much more exciting. Plus, these stories can be a lot of fun to write, especially considering the bondage-filled scenarios I'm usually commissioning ;)
But like I said, I haven't had the drive to match my pace of commissioning for the last couple of years, and I've built up a backlog of moderate size. And sometimes I get the feeling that dumping like 4,000 surprise words of story underneath an image can dissuade people from reading through, or from leaving comments about the art itself. (And I cannot get enough comments, of course, so maximizing those is always going to be a goal of sorts. >_> ) Depending on how long stories get when I write them with art, I may begin breaking them up into separate submissions, one the art, and one the story. This might also allow me to cut down on some of the art backlog by only posting a few words with each piece, and following up with the full story a bit later.
But what do you think? Keep posting on the slow side, with story and art in one submission? Still slow, but separated into a story submission and art submission? Or should I just start willy nilly posting stuff and think up stories later, at risk of moving on and never getting around to writing a story to go with a particular piece?
Also, I hope you folks like Adhara, because a lot of the art I'm sitting on is of her >3> This steady stream of anthro dragoness in tight situations is gonna keep on rolling!

relkyon. The fluffy ones outnumber me D:
How is the best way to find you?
I'll keep an eye on twitter and telegram most of the time, but as always with dragons it's best to look for the big columns of smoke from the inevitable fiery rampages.
Are there any panels you might be attending?
The Whose Lion panel is something I never miss, and I'll usually stop by a writing panel or two as well.
What do you look like?
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2636475/ only kinda... balder >.>;
Will you be suiting?
Negative.
What is your gender?
Male.
How tall are you?
5'11"
Can I talk to you?
Go right ahead, but don't take it the wrong way if I'm shy ;;
Can I touch you?
I'd have to groom all my scales again D: handshakes only, though you can have a hug if I know you enough.
Can I visit your room?
Possibly! We will have a few board games, but we're most likely to carry those over to the zoo to play c:
Can I buy you drinks?
I'd rather you didn't, and even then, soda only. x)
Can I give you stuff?
I am a greedy dragon, so I am unlikely to mind! Just don't give inappropriate things >.>
Can I hug or snuggle with you?
Friends can hug. You can only snuggle me if you tie me up first :V but that's not happening either, so no.
Are you nice?
I am usually pretty shy in crowds, but I try to be a nice dragon c:
How long are you going?
Until Sunday afternoon.
Will you be going to parties?
Nah.
Will you be performing?
As much as dragons like showing off, no.
If I see you, how should I get your attention?
Good luck. "Hue" sounds like "you" so I get a lot of false positives. "Hueroc" (where-OCK) is more distinctive, though, if you want to give that a try.
Where will you be most of the time during the day/s?
The Dealer's Den and the Zoo most likely!
What/where will you be eating?
Anywhere that has enough burgers to feed a dragon :9
Can I come with you for food/fun/etc?
Ask first!
Can I take your picture?
Good luck getting me to hold still that long >.> I have PTSD from my family's insistence on taking billions of photos all the time
Do you do free art?
I'm unlikely to do any writing at the con, but hey, I could always throw together a stick figure :V
Do you do trades?
I do like trades/collaborations, but again, I won't be getting any writing done at the convention.
Do you do commissions?
Not while at the con. x)
What's your goal(s) for the con this year?
To hang out with friends, and get some fun artwork :3
Where are you staying?
The Omni.
What day are you getting there?
Thursday, early afternoon most likely.
How are you traveling?
Driving!

Seriously
Posted 8 years agoDon't ever type "thicc." Just think of all the vastly superior words you're missing out on that mean the same thing, and use one of them instead. Fantastic words to describe a full female figure include "voluptuous," "curvaceous," "buxom," and "thick." Put them to good use!

Merry Christmas
Posted 8 years agoAhh, Christmas. The season of so much art of assorted characters stripped and tied up (usually not quite tight enough >_> ) in front of the tree as presents to loved ones. I hope all of you find a tied-up partner beneath your tree, but do both of you a favor and make sure the wrappings are tight and secure before enjoying your gifts! :3 Merry Christmas everyone~
National Novel Writing Month
Posted 8 years agoI've never actually tried National Novel Writing Month (November). But I'm going to this year! So, sorry if I disappear for a month, but with work during the day and writing at night, I might not be around too much or have time to do much art posting x) Wish me luck!
Hatching
Posted 8 years ago28 years ago today a big red dragon hatched! Well... maybe he wasn't so big back then. But regardless of size, today is my birthday! Feel free to leave gifts/tribute for Hueroc, I am sure he will appreciate. :D
FA: United
Posted 8 years agoAnyone going to FA:U? I live unnecessarily close by, so I figured I may as well stop by the con and see how things go. Any chance any of you will be showing up for me to rawr at?
6 digits
Posted 8 years agoHey folks! Did you know I'm only like 750 views away from 100,000? :o
Keep an eye out, and do try to get a screenshot of it if you can!

Upcoming: Anthrocon
Posted 8 years agoSup folks. I didn't intend to be one of those people who announces a commission opening and then drops off the face of the earth :v But work has been brutal for the last couple of months and I just have not had the will to get any writing done on pretty much anything at all. I have some hope for the future... But we'll see. For now all of my current thoughts are occupied by this year's impending Anthrocon, to which I will be going Thursday-Sunday! Like last year, I will be tagging along with
renzey and
ereau with the addition of
relkyon to our dragonsquad this time. Feel free to say Hi if you see me there! I'll try not to be too shy. x)
