Posted 9 years ago Our newest GoH is not only a performer but a DJ at the same time. DJ Dadius. His show that he is bringing to Fangcon this year is not just his own brand of music for you to dance to but also he puts it all into a show with entertainment, dancers, and a theme. You can call this horse a DJ but he is so much more then just that. His show packed the house last year and even though we have more room this year we are worried it will happen again. So get to his show as early as you can.
We have another performer for you Wielder Wolf!!! Another multi talented furry. He will be offering stand up entertainment and puppetry also. Here is another performer who packs the house with any sort of entertainment that he offers. His own show is a bit above the PG rating so you can expect good adult entertainment there but we have him tone it down also when we have him in the Furry Drama Show also!! He will be hard at work Fangcon Weekend entertaining you.

Introducing our GOH Wild LIon
Posted 9 years agoWildlion, or Wild was born and raised in Asheville, North Carolina and has been drawing since before birth-- seriously, there are cave drawings in the womb. Wild practices art professionally and has been freelancing in art and design for over ten years. While being a pathetic starving college kid, they got into furry art and were met with immediate success. Now Wild mostly eats pizza, complains, and cries herself to sleep every night because of the furry atrocities they draw for said pizza.

Posted 9 years agoThank you everyone for making 2015 Fangcon's biggest and bestest yet! We had 427 attendees (up from 302 last year) and 137 fursuiters in the fursuit parade (up from 93 last year). We appreciated your patience as we worked to settle in to the new hotel and recover from some of our materials lost in a motor home fire Wednesday before the convention. The hotel night security staff praised the behavior of our group as one of the most well-behaved groups they have hosted in their hotel. Additionally, a wedding happened to take place on the same weekend and, after seeing what being furry is really about, they requested some fursuiters for their wedding photos.
Even as we pack up from Fangcon 2015, we are already at work planning Fangcon 2016 to be even bigger and better. Let us hear any suggestions you have by sending :kevincorgi: a note! We will also be sending an email survey to everyone that attended and chose to allow email updates from Fangcon.

Posted 9 years agoAs we prepare for Fangcon 2015 less than three weeks away, we want to remind everyone of our Code of Conduct.

Many of you are likely aware of the spate of recent events where a few furries have caused big problems at well-known conventions. Oklacon, a long-running outdoor furry convention in Oklahoma, was recently cancelled permanently due to the Oklahoma state park system refusing to allow the event to take place. That action was a direct result of a few convention attendees who disregarded the rules and the law. Rainfurrest, a large furry convention in Seattle, was put in the difficult position of having to eject five convention goers due to misconduct including wearing BDSM gear in public and vandalizing property. The few individuals involved caused problems so significant that Rainfurrest posted a public letter on their website detailing the situation.
We expect all Fangcon attendees to have fun while adhering to the Code of Conduct. As much as we wish it weren't the case, it is entirely possible for just one person to ruin a convention for everyone. When that happens, it puts the entire furry community in a negative light. That in turn makes it much more difficult to find and keep a venue. We rely on all of our attendees to make sure Fangcon continues to be a great experience and that our hotel will want us back again next year. If you see something that you don't think is right, please report it to convention staff immediately.

All those who pre register for Fangcon will get a Tzologist Print. This will be made for those who pre-reg so it will be based on those numbers alone. We will post this as soon as Tzologist puts that together for us to show to you.
We will be also be offering up a drawing for one Intellivision Flash back that will be giving out at Opening Ceremonies. Everyone who pre-registered, pre-paid, and are present at Opening Ceremonies will be able to enter the drawing.

Will you be hosting a panel or scheduled event at Fangcon? Possibly a booth in the Dealer Den?
Then you should create an audible advertisement to be aired over Fangcon radio!!
That's right, just like last year we will be playing some great music throughout the convention as you wonder and furry around the con, and just like any radio, we will have special advertisements for events, happenings, or things-to-know aired on our Fangcon radio!
So if you would like to have an ad aired for your scheduled event or your merch at Fangcon, then you may create one for yourself and email it to 44.1thestallion[at]gmail.com

If you are not computer or audio savvy, you may record just your voice or write a script for one of our lovely voice actors to read and email it to 44.1thestallion[at]gmail.com , along with any other information we need to create your radio advertisement!

Some other information of note: We had a special Lion King tribute video done by a Disney animator shown during the Furry Drama Show. Fursona Non Grata packed the room with a full audience. NIIC's performance was awesome and the night dances with our talented DJ lineup were a blast. The fandom's largest twister mat was a big hit! Monday evening's bowling event was also well attended to help with that post-con depression. We had 3 positive news articles written about us and were mentioned on a morning radio show.

If you arrive on Thursday you should join us for a game of laser tag! Just head on over to Laser Quest at 8083 Kingston Pike. You'll need to be at Laser Quest by 7PM EST - entrance is $20 - and yes, you can play in fursuit!
One more thing - the hotel has an updated address. The old address will still take you there since the hotel is still in the same place, but here is the new address that will take you right to the entrance: 9134 Executive Park Drive Knoxville, Tennessee 37923

Several attendees this year have already done this on their own and we would like to ask everyone to follow their lead. It really helps the hotel out. The party continues
Posted 11 years agoSaturday was packed full of awesomeness. There were at least 56 fursuiters in the fursuit parade. I say at least because that's how many were counted as they past by one point, but keeping track of fursuiters isn't exactly an easy thing to do. Especially when they're having as much fun as we are at FangCon this year. We'll take a close look at pictures and video and come up with an official number soon.
We've had exhibits of exotic birds, reptiles, dogs and so much more living up to our circus theme this year. Sunday got off to a very moving and emotional start with a pawfasting (handfasting if you prefer) ceremony. To be in the presents of such love and dedication is truly a wonderful experience.
We still have lots planned for today so back to the party for now.

Posted 11 years agoWow! Fursuit bowling last night was sooooo much fun. We had a very large turnout and bowled until the lanes closed. We'll try to squeeze in time to post a picture or two today. Time to get it started!
