AI vs Artist challenge
Posted a year agoI want to propose a possible challenge for artists. Since the arrival of AI art popping up across all art platforms, for better or for worse, there has been quite the number of people who feel that the threat of AI taking away jobs from artists has gone on and on. While personally speaking, I have tried an AI program to see what the fuss is about and while seeing its uses for references or to help give an idea or two if I am struggling with art blocks for some sparks of ideas, and while ending up getting some questionable results (and a few laughs in the process: 5 legs on one character and fingers on backward and two heads for a few examples), I have thought about possibly attempting a challenge for the artists. The challenge is this:
1. Use an AI program and ask it to create an image you describe.
2. Save the image for reference.
3. Attempt to recreate the image in your own style in an attempt to be on the same level of, or even be better than the AI created image.
I feel that if any artists want to prove they can out-do an AI, then we could get a chance to prove so. Let us see if we can make any image created in AI with any artist program and do just as good of, if not an even better job for ourselves. We can of course either use our own style if we so wish, but to see if we can out-do these programs, we might be able to prove our worths.

Oh look, an update
Posted a year agoHello everyone, won't be too long with this, but just to let you know (especially those still waiting on YCH Fat commissions) they are FINALLY completed. I will upload them tomorrow and hope that you will enjoy them. Thank you for your patience, and I will try to not take forever with the next batch. ^^;
Just for the record, if some look different from each other, it's because I've attempted to experiment with two programs this time for art. One with Affinity Designer and one with Sketchbook Pro. First of all, thank you all for your best wishes since the passing of my grandmother a few months back. Your support was very much needed and it was lovely to hear from all of you and for being understanding for the absense as of late.
Secondly, I apologise for being so slow with overdue commissions and any art trades of the likes. I have been feeling rather drained when it comes to getting around to any actual art as of late with me attempting to reinvent my art style along with me feeling less and less interested with things like drawing or animating as of late. If you are someone who is still waiting on a piece from me then give me a message either here in the journal or via notes. I'll try to get my backside in gear again and get back to them: I'd say you've all waited long enough for something to come.

It happened
Posted 5 years agoWell, it happened. She was a fighter until the end, had her slight mood swings about it before becoming sleepy again then talking normally for as long as she could, still acting like she may before her time. But at 10:30am today, we got the phone call we were all dreading: my grandmother passed away. -_-
We are all saddened at the loss with her gone for good, but with her deteriorating condition, we can at least say she is finally at peace. I will always remember her and never forget her love, support and all the wonderful times I had with her growing up as that is all we can do.
Rest In Peace grandma. I will always love you and never forget you.

I need to make an announcement

I am aware that this is something that may come up out of nowhere, but I feel it is time to be said so that any attitude I may end up demonstrating whether distant or rude I ask that you don't take personally.
After a nearly two year long battle with her degenarative illness, my grandmother has decided to stop her treatment of anymore blood transfusion since she has an internal leak within her. She is too old to be operated upon and her conditon combined with her failing and limited walking due to swelling in her legs and weakening heart means that there is nothing more the doctors can do for her. They have given her between six to eight weeks left to live, though knowing her stubborness she could have a little extra time within her, or maybe she may pass sooner than expected. We don't know.
As such, we will be spending as much time with her as possible for her last few days before she hopefully may pass away peacefully no longer in anymore pain. I am going to be strong for my mother (as it is her mother) but I will try to vent privately to not let it get built up too badly. As such, if for the next few days I may appear less or on any chat logs I come across either distant or moody, don't take anything I may say personally. In the meantime, please give prayers for support for my grandmother, my mother and her brothers and the family too.
I will get to work on commissions in between time, and thank you for your patience.

I can't keep doing this anymore
Posted 6 years agoI understand that this sounds like a very morbid title and something that may come across as a moment of angst for many of you, but as of late there has been a lot of things that has been making me wonder one question.
Why am I still bothering with this fandom?
I know that it may seem pretentious to ask, but I have to be open and honest with you all. There has been more and more of a reason I haven't been that active posting as of late. I find myself coming to gradually enjoy this entire fandom less and less. Ever since the big electoral shocks of the Brexit referendum and Trump's victory, I cannot begin to tell you all how much respect for people I used to look up to I have now lost. All the nonsense involoving the virtue signalling, the identity politics, the shaming of any none progressive thoughts and ideals, I have been seeing another side to the entire community. It seems that if you dare step out of line with any thoughts that didn't support a globalist socialist utopia trying to be pushed, you are instantly a bad guy. The rise of people's hatred against any slight confusion goes into radical and dangerous territories. I want to try and keep an open mind with a lot of things, but with the ever increasing isolation of anyone who doesn't follow along with radical left leaning ideals to shun someone and instantly accuse them of being Nazis or facists has really broken a lot of patience down with me making me wonder what is even the point anymore.
I also feel that for the last fourteen years of being in this community, I have been living a lie and not been able to openly be myself. Be my true self. Someone who can draw more than just content to give people their fetish fantasies while I try to put some actual effort into something and it barely gets a batting eye. In all honesty, I feel that I have wasted a huge portion of my time in this community. If not for the few friends I have been attatched to, it would have been a miserable experience to have gone through all this for nothing, but even they are moving away from it all now. Maybe they too have gotten tired of the fandom and are moving on with their lives, or maybe they are just cutting out people who don't support the same thought experiments is just an outsider now. With my dad's parkingsons not improving, my mum going to retired in a couple of years and now my graduation from university nearly four years ago now I have so little so show since I have been afraid of anyone judging me for my furry and brony content. I know it may be silly to suggest that there has been no need to worry about these things, but its just how I view things. I have seen how anyone can be just so ugly to anyone who doesn't follow a new and 'progressive' way of thinking. The identity politics that have arrived in this community, the SJW nonsense, the disrespect anyone with a different view point, it has really broken me down.
I feel like I was holding onto something that despite all I have done, I cannot keep doing this anymore. Maybe I am just not in the right mind set, or maybe I am overthinking things again, but it isn't like me to be able to go much further in this fandom now. I feel I don't enjoy it anymore with its current change of direction. Which is why from the start of the new year, I will be here a lot less since I think its time to stop acting like a character and act like myself instead. Maybe I will put something up every so often, but I feel like this is time to stop living a fantasy and come back to a reality that will give me a bigger chance and get away from all the political drama, a chance to finally be more like myself.
I am sorry if this seems like a downer, but at least I can finally explain a little more about what has been going on now.

Button Popping avatar commissions?
Posted 7 years agoHey all, first of all, welcome to Autumn. First day of the Autuminal Equinox and down the road to cooler evenings and the leaves to fall like snow before Winter.
Secondly, since by now I am sure you may have seen my new avatar with D popping his pants *as seen here; http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18661570/ * and the avatar making seemed to be rather hassle free. So I am attempting my first animated commissions with avatars like these. If you are interested, then feel free to drop me an shot here in the journal.

Posted 7 years agoHey all, I know it has been a long time and all, but thank you for your patience in getting all outstanding commissions out of the way. x.x
In the meantime, to help get some drive going again (and hopefully not take another few months to get back to ^^; ) I have decided to reintroduce the YCH Fat templates again. http://www.furaffinity.net/full/20364122/
I am willing to take up to 15 slots at the following prices;
Inks - £10.00 (per person)
Flats - £15.00 (per person)
Full Colour - £20.00 (per person)

Posted 8 years agoSorry everyone, but due to my lacking creative spark, I cannot bring myself to produce anything at the moment and I don't want to leave you all waiting on me to get myself into gear when you are all good paying customers, so the commissions are cancelled. I have already refunded most of the people who paid me, but if you have paid me and have heard nothing back yet, then please note me.

First of, thank you all for the recent watches for my page; glad to know people like my worthless pieces of crap that somehow passes on art. I hope you will enjoy the work that comes up. :)
Secondly, I have to apologise to a lot of you who had to wait a long time for your YCH commissions I originally had. I had no right to leave you all hanging on for as long as I did. I was just going through some difficult moments in life feeling that I don't belong in this fandom any longer these days. All the drama, the constant complaints about trivial things and more serious issues that make me feel isolated and make me feel like I can't talk about them. I'd rather keep the issues to myself right now though. x.x
Thirdly, now that I have gotten my Paypal working again, I did originally consider opening a new wave of commissions. The keyword here being 'was' until I felt that I needed to take a break from all of that right now. After putting things off for a couple of months on commissions and leaving people hanging for as long as they did made me feel like I was cheating them. So, maybe I need to put them off entirely until next year. I had wanted to learn more about traditional mediums of art like with markers and pencils. That being said, if anyone has any tips on how to get a good scan quality of them said pictures it would be greatly appreciated. ^^;
Finally, I have had a couple of thoughts about the state of FA with its poor security and its bad services which means that while I will be using this place still on an occasion, I will be planning to move more work around the place too like Weebly, Inkbunny and SoFurry. So I will be updating there a bit more too, if you have an account on those places then you should be able to find me around there since I use the same username.
