Character Reference
I will require some variety visual reference to work from. Please provide reference for every character you request an image of.

Reference sheets are preferred. However, a colour image with a detailed description may also be accepted. Even a picrew or other dollmaker image is okay!

If you don’t have a colour image of your character and still want to order a commission from me, please be aware that the cost of the commission will increase to reflect the additional labour involved in designing your character for you.

Never hesitate to ask for an estimate! I prefer to be up front about my rates, and I want all my customers to make informed decisions before they buy.


Customer Communication
Please only commission me if you can comfortably and reasonably afford to.

If my commissions are open, you may send me a message via note, comment, or email. Try not use derogatory terms in your character descriptions. If I believe you are being deliberately inflammatory, I will terminate contact with you and may refuse to work with you in the future.

If you are bidding on a YCH or Adoptable, please follow the instructions laid out in the image description.

Amicable inquiries are always welcome, and are preferred as notes here or emails to astrosnax.arts@pm.me!


What I Won’t Draw
At this time, I don’t have a running list of what I will or won’t draw, so feel free to inquire about anything.

Extreme NSFW may be completed as a private commission (meaning that I won’t post it here) or will be posted on my alternate account depending on the subject matter depicted. Due to Canadian law, I cannot draw NSFW images of underage characters.

Please be aware that I may refuse your request if I feel the character or image is too difficult for me to render in a reasonable amount of time. This isn’t personal, only a matter of understanding my own limits.

If I find the subject matter of your request offensive, I will simply refuse to take on the commission in a professional manner. What amuses or comforts you in the realm of fiction isn’t mine or anyone else’s business, and your dignity and privacy are important to me.


Payment
Payment is up front via PayPal invoice. Prices are in USD (United States Dollars).

I only accept payment through PayPal at this time.

Exceptions to this section may be made at in-person venues such as conventions.

After Payment Protocol
Estimates on the time to complete your commission are subject to change. Smaller and simpler images will often be finished much faster than larger, more complex pieces.

Please be patient and do not request multiple updates throughout the time you are waiting.

I will do my best to keep you up to date on commission progress. If you pester me unreasonably, I may cancel your commission, and I may refuse to work with you again.

I am a real person – ONE PERSON – with a life and other responsibilities. It is my own personal preference to finish work quickly for my own peace of mind. I DO NOT BENEFIT FROM ADDED EXTERIOR PRESSURE FROM THE CUSTOMER. Please be respectful of me and I will show you the same respect in kind.

I ask that you please trust that I am working as hard as I can. Your patience is the most valuable thing in the world to me.


Refund Policy
Full refunds will be accepted if:
✧ After a two month period, I have not begun work on your commission
✧ If my real life circumstances change and do not allow me to complete your commission in a reasonable time frame – in this case, any incomplete work I have started may be provided to you

Partial refunds may be accepted if:
✧ You cancel your order after I have begun to work on your commission

I retain the right to refuse or cancel a commission at any time, for any reason.

Refunds are NOT accepted on finished pieces under ANY circumstances.

If you are unhappy with my work, minor adjustments may be provided after completion. Larger adjustments will require an additional fee with cost determined by labour.

I put a lot of time and effort into my work with the expectation of fair compensation. I take pride in my work and aim to fulfill requests to the best of my abilities.


Revisions
Please provide all relevant information when ordering.

Revisions due to lack of communication on the part of the commissioner will not be made after the image has been completed.

✧ Revisions I have determined to be simple or small are free.
✧ Revisions I have determined to be complex or large may incite an additional charge.


Resolution
Please specify if you would like me to use a specific image resolution or canvas size. This MUST be specified UP FRONT as it is very difficult to revise. Changing this once I am past the sketch stage will incite an additional charge.

I am presently only able to use Procreate to complete your commissions.

As a default, I will render your image at 300 dpi. I switch between RGB (digital display) and CMYK (print) depending on the piece I am working on. If you intend to print your image or use it for a specific application, let me know ahead of time so I can optimize it for you.


Reposting
I will not use an image you have commissioned from me for the purposes of creating merchandise unless otherwise agreed upon by the commissioner and character owner(s).

I will not re-sell an image you commission unless you have explicitly agreed to it being used in that way.

I may use an image you have commissioned in a limited capacity for promotional purposes (i.e.: as an example of my work) on this or other websites so long as the work I have done for you was not specifically “private”. Commissions you request to remain “private” will never be shared by me anywhere or with anyone but you.

You are welcome to modify images that you pay for in any way so long as it is for personal use.

My commissions are, by default, FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY.

Do not, under any circumstance, make merchandise from my work unless otherwise explicitly agreed upon. You do not have permission to use the work you commission from me as a professional logo, to sell prints, as a design on t-shirts, as an album cover, or for any other purpose defined as “commercial”.

If you would like to purchase an image for commercial use, you MUST specify this to me explicitly. Together, we can draw up a contract permitting you to use my image for commercial purposes and outlining the terms and limits of that use that protects and benefits us both.

If you would like to use my work to make free stickers, please let me know. I will not charge you extra, I would just like to optimize the piece and know what manufacturer is receiving my work.

It is my preference that do not repost my work outside of FurAffinity if possible. I am okay with my work being uploaded to e621 with credit. If you are going to repost my work anyway, please be courteous and tag images not suitable for younger audiences accordingly (ie: tag as 18+ and/or NSFW). File Loss
If you lose the image and I am unable to replace it, I will not be able to compensate you for the loss.

It is not my responsibility to keep a copy of commission files after a commission has been completed and sent out.

I periodically delete older files because I have limited storage available on my tablet.

That said, you are always welcome to ask politely if I still have your image if you lose it for some reason, and I will re-send it to you if I am able.
