Members of the delegation held an exchange of views on the Transatlantic Economy Report 2025 with Mr Daniel S. Hamilton, Senior Fellow at the Foreign Policy Institute of Johns Hopkins University. Members raised questions about the impact of the new US Administration's policy on transatlantic trade and the reaction by US business, the compliance by US tech companies with EU digital legislation, as well as the way forward for EU-US relations, among other points.

On 28 January, the Chair of the Delegation for Relations with the US, Mr Brando Benifei (S&D) and Vice-Chair Ewa Maydell (EPP) met a delegation from the US Chamber of Commerce. The twenty-member delegation included representatives from major companies operating in various sectors in the US and the EU. The two sides reiterated their commitment to the EU-US relationship and discussed their main priorities and concerns in the current political context.
