Watch videos in News on Mac
Many stories in Apple News include videos that you can play.
Note: Apple News isn’t available in all countries or regions. See the Apple Support article Availability of Apple Media Services.
Go to the News app
on your Mac.
Click
, then do any of the following.
Note: To show the video controls, move the pointer over the video.
Pause the video: Click
.
Mute the volume: Click
.
Adjust the volume: Move the pointer over the volume icon, then drag the volume slider.
Change subtitle and closed caption settings: Click
(if available), then choose options.
Advance or rewind the video: Click anywhere in the timeline or drag the slider. Or skip forward (click
) or backward (click
) by 15 seconds.
Expand or collapse the video: Click
in the top-left corner of the video to fill the screen. To return to the original size, click the button again (in the video controls).
Use AirPlay: If other devices, such as a TV, are available to play the video, click
, then choose a device.
