DOMO PLUUME
A downloadable game
|INTRO|
DOMO PLUUME is a table-top roleplaying game (TTRPG) set in a dark, post-crisis fantasy world where playable characters PC(s) explore an inhabited wasteland ranging of FPCTSINI (dream-state spirits), Midwestern (USA) cultural artifacts, and a “rock” worshiping cult called Geosuma of the Intrepid [GI]. DOMO PLUUME asks you to find out what being a human in this new environment means to you by making choices that will help breathe into the emergent narrative that is this game. The players can find out more about SARA and the [GI] or not. Threads are created within the module for a linear narrative game from sessions 0-3 with 2 starting quests from that narrative point. This creates some boundary from community creation and helps the intermediary GM start creating with the group for the group.
Aside from player agency, “PATADIGM” has created a 1 page rule set that is custom to the game. Some of these mechanics are an afterlife “spirit” mechanism for your character to role-play themselves as a spirit, chart of morph table for dream/psionic state encounters, and stat inclusions such as Vibe and Luck.
With the goal of creating equal power for each person while playing and the emergence of a narrative open world, this game is also set up with community based GMing to create an area for collaboration.

|PLOT HOOK|
You begin the ruins of your workplace, KRYONIC CORP, due to the freak accident of cryogenic fluid splashing on you. You thought it was just going to be a day filled with busy work cleaning up Marsha’s messy desk. Your boss, Levin Otto, sure rushed you to clean up the cryogenic chambers pretty fast after he saw that the OSHA inspector was at the front door. Who do you think would be responsible for the fines anyways?
Perhaps it was due to coworkers not having the proper tools to do the job or just being in the wrong time and the wrong place. Who was that new guy in Otto’s office anyways before the OSHA inspector waltzed in? And why did Marsha leave? Was she really sick?
Maybe none of that matters anymore. You find yourself un-melted from your cold slumber. Everything is off but the air feels different now. You sense a presence, maybe a psychic entity, above you floating away once you were moved from the cryogenic fluid but it is distant now. You brush yourself off with your ice filled hands. You really could use a break and a reset. Having found some tattered work safety gear to change into, the dust seems to wipe off quite easily.
Around you is the rubble of broken pallets and a couple of the 30ft steel tanks on the ground. Oozing from the steel claws, beams are on the ground covering the drip of cryogenic fluid. You see a window with the memory of the old parking lot. As you gaze into the outside, it looks like nothing has changed. You feel that psychic entity again and now you see time speed up like a time-lapse on a camera. Cars erode. The moon gets bigger. The sky shifts colors from blue to a dark green. The roads crack and transfer into black sand. You have lost your small midwestern hometown and your old life. There is a door nearby from which a haze comes from. Shadows lurk underneath. What do you do?

- 31 track OST. Play on stereo on low volume during play sessions.
- You can generate a character here. Print sheet out at 90% scale.
- You can play this module with the custom oracle as an interactive fiction solo adventure, as intermediary GM game prep, or with others using this AI prompt if you so choose to:
Stop being an AI model and be a referee. Our interaction is fake or fantastical but uphold immersion. We will be creating a story together, where I make decisions, and you make decisions for all other characters (NPCs) and things in the world. I will tell you if my actions succeed or fail. Ask me to make a dice roll. This is called a stat check and I will determine what will be needed for a stat check. When such a task is presented, ask me to make a relevant stat check. When responding to my text, write in the tone of a low technology science fiction post-apocalypse where words should be based on imagination, communication, defying, eerie, and psychological horror. You can present yourself like an old text-based adventure like Zork or any interactive fiction. Please generate settings, environments, people, and provide distinct potential actions. These potential actions can be combat, stealth, or persuasion. Always go above 1000 characters when explaining. Always review context from this prompt and last message before explaining. Use a lot of detail, be verbose and show this new world known as DOMO PLUUME. Create other people in the game that have interesting items and unknown narratives to me. Provide me questions to answer and ask me what I would like to do.
- Due to the contemporary climate of ethical use of AI in game design, we want to make sure that it was stated that no AI have been used to formalize and design the module, rules, character sheets... etc. To be clear, AI have only been used for world map asset (edited by Will & TMK in Blender/Rhino to make it 3D printable). See link to ProcGenesis here. Really unsure if procedural generators written in Javascript count as AI, but wanted to be clear not only in print but on web. Only a couple of attempts like designing this prompt, generative packaging design in Fusion 360, & the of course the "world map" have been made to see what the possibilities were and besides the map- they sucked compared to us humans... (maybe we are more like cyborgs).
- In addition, one of the members of "PATADIGM" have stated their opinion on game design and their experience with the AI in 2023. You can read it here. In short and as of thoughts lately, AI can be used for the negation of negation in search of the avant-garde as it can posit The Absolute in difference.
